Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is as good as it gets ! Excellent accomodation. Landlord is a 'real gent'. Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked, unlike those 'hotel' breakfasts which are kept warm for hours on end ! Beautifully located, overlooking the Erne Estuary. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else ! Míle buíochas, Dave & Anne, Wicklow

Stayed here over the weekend of the Rory Gallagher Festival in May/June 2013. The room was spotless, the breakfast was excellent and the owners were helpful and friendly. We used the free shuttle bus from town to the campsite which was very handy.

We spent a one night stay here two weeks ago and we cannot praise it enough. The rooms were very spacious and exceptionally clean. It was wonderful to enter our room and find that we had amenities to make our own tea and coffee so we could relax after a 4 hr car journey. We were given such a wonderful, warm welcome from the owner John Hurst. We had a fantastic breakfast and there was such a variety to suit everyone. The house is beautifully maintained and in such a wonderful location. We would highly recommend this guest house and we will definitely be back again! A definite 5 star! Eddie & Ann from Tipperary.

We spent one night in Ballyshannon as part of a week long driving tour of Ireland. I was so happy that we had booked two rooms at the Dun Na Si. It was a lovely property with a well maintained house and gardens/yard. We received a very friendly welcome from John Hurst, the owner. He showed us to our rooms, which were huge, beautifully decorated and very clean. There were many thoughtful amenities like in room coffee maker and small bottles of soaps and shampoos in the en suite. We left to explore the charming old town, and had a wonderful dinner at Maggie's Pub. We had a very restful night, and were treated to the most delicious breakfast of our trip in the morning. The Hurst family obviously goes to a lot of effort to insure their guests have a wonderful experience.
