Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a really nice B&B. The place is a new house and the rooms fantastic. Rooms were good size and really clean and the gardens set out nicely. The owner was really friendly and the breakfast is by far the best we had in Ireland. A really pleasant stay and a great host.

Enjoyed the stay, a very imposing building in a nice location, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. Our host was welcoming and we enjoyed his drole humour, had a few good laughs with him. We would definitely stay here again.

Recently stayed one night while visiting UK & Ireland by car. The B & B is an imposing building with a marvellous driveway leading to it from the main road just south of Ballyshannon. Our room was large and had an excellent view of the lawns down to the road, the estuary and town. We enjoyed talking to our host, John on the outside deck at the side of the house. The breakfast was great (Cooked by John) Wi Fi was fine. Unfortunately we only had time to stay one night. My wife and I voted this stay one of the best after the 5 week trip in UK and Ireland Recommended (Five Plus Stars)

We are so happy that the Tourist Information center recommended Dun Na Si - we wish that we could have stayed so much longer. It was the #1 place that we stayed in Ireland thanks to John, the wonderful owner of this beautiful B&B. I was in search of my grandmother's birth home in Ballyshannon in 1889 and John contacted his friend at 10PM who said to come to his home the next morning. After making us a terrific breakfast, John took us to his friend's house who took us to the house that my grandmother left over 100 years ago when she came to America. My life-long dream was fulfilled only because of John. He is truly the best example of the friendliness and caring of the Irish people. We have already recommended this B&B to all our family and friends and if we ever get back

This is a well presented, modern guesthouse. The rooms are really large-- ours had 2 double beds plus a 2 seater setee & there was still a lot of floor space. The towels & tea tray were replenished daily. Breakfast was superb-- juice, FRESH fruit salad, youghurt, cereals & a hot breakfast cooked to order. This is an ideal base for visits to north Sligo, south Donegal & county Fermanagh.

We were only able to stay one night at this beautiful guesthouse on the outskirts of Ballyshannon. We wished we could have stayed longer as Dun Na Si is a great place to stay in terms of location and facilities. It is an imposing building set in its own grounds with sea views and plenty of parking space. We were greeted at the front door by the very friendly host and were led into a large hallway which had a welcoming peat fire burning though it was July. The rooms are very clean and well furnished with very comfortable beds. Toiletries are supplied with plenty of good quality towels. The breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked. Cereals, porridge, fresh fruit and the home baked bread was delicious. Dun Na Si is well above the standard of some of the hotels we have stayed

A really comfortable house with everything you would expect from a Bed and Breakfast. Our hosts went out of their way to help us and very kindly drove us to a place where we could have dinner nearby as we were too tired to do by bicycle.

With my husband I recentlly stayed at this Guest House . Located just outside Ballyshannon on the Bundoran road. Eventhough when we arrived it was the 15th. May, and was really cold with a strong north/western wind. On our arrival it was so lovely to see an open blazing turf fire in the reception area. We were even slow to leave the fire and put our luggage iin the bed room allocated. We were only in the room less than 5 minutes when John Hurst , the owner of the guesthouse , arrived up to our room witrh a pot of tea and lovely biscuits. What a lovely welcoming touch. The view from the bedroom window is better imagined than described , it was just so fantastic. The food each morning was even better.

We had a group of 13 that did an overnight stay in Ballyshannon in late September at Dun Na' Si Guesthouse. Wish we had more time. Lovely setting with fantastic hosts with the best breakfast you will find !!!! Did not experience the town, but this is a great place to stay if you will be exploring nearby, and less than a km outside of town.

We had a wonderful experience here. The place (house and surroundings) are beautiful, the house was clean and homey. The Owner, John, is a person full of histories and experiences, open to share with you and also show you the best places around if he have time. The breakfast ( i am not fun of the irish food at all) was amazing, first time that we enjoyed a good irish breakfast. With my wife we can only recommend this place.
