The ice house hotel and chill spa is second to none. The service is impeccable and the spa is out of this world. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a get-away. I would give this hotel 6 stars if i could. Absolutely incredible experience.

Had a very relaxing overnight stay with my wife. The hotel is beautiful. Very unique layout. We had a suite and it was very spacious. Lovely views of the river outside. The majority of the staff were very friendly. We had dinner and it was extremely tasty. The staff serving us couldn't have been any nicer. The manager working in the bar was very professional, very helpful and worked well with his staff. He made me a cocktail that wasn't on the menu without any fuss. The only negative for me was a terrible nights sleep due to a very soft mattress. I'm hoping there's at least one solid mattress in the hotel as we definitely want to come back and next time we will avail of the spa and some of the treatments.

We booked the Stay and Chill package and it certainly livec up to it's name. Our room was beautiful with a splendid view of the Moy. Lunch and dinner did not disappoint us and Maeve our dinner waitress was a pleasure to deal with. The Chill Spa is fabulous and I enjoyed a lovely massage from Sharon. Hated to leave to be honest!

We dined with some friends at The Ice House this week, its been over a year since we last had the chance to visit and since our last visit they have totally renovated the restaurant to a very high standard, all of us commented on how comfortable and bright it was. The food and service was very good as we have experienced on other visits too, a special mention to Sean in the bar who is fantastic at his job and so obliging. It was great to see the place so busy midweek with a lot of local Ballina faces dining too. The hotel is a real asset to the town and area and is extremely well managed and all staff we encountered seemed very happy in their roles. Keep up the great work and can’t wait to return soon 🙌

Very small and claustrophobic with no nice bar to relax in the evening. Most of the staff were lovely (except one in the restaurant) but young and not really trained Food wasn’t great and usually cold. The spa is lovely and I had a lovely therapist. Very expensive and bad value

I got a gift voucher for a Seaweed Bath in this magnificent Spa some months ago and today I had the pleasure of using it with a very good friend. On arrival we were met with this lovely friendly lady called Breda who was on the reception of the Spa. She couldn't have been more help, thank you Breda. We changed into our cosy towelling robes and flip-flops and proceeded outside to our awaiting seaweed baths overlooking the River Moy. It was cloudy and overcast but that didn't take from the magnificent scenery and total relaxation that we experienced. You can take the seaweed home after use, they will bag it for you so you can enjoy it again in your own bath. Then we spoiled ourselves in the Outdoor Sauna and topped it off with the Sunken Riverside Hot Tub. There are so many wonderful areas to relax in: Aromatherapy Dry Heat Room, Relaxation Room, Snooze Room to name just a few. It's an experience you will never forget. I cannot wait to return in a few weeks. This time I'll treat myself to their School day Retreat which includes afternoon tea, lunch, a treatment of your choice plus access to all their rooms. What a treat that will be. If you are visiting Ballina, drop in and take a tour and treat yourself. Ask for the lovely Ciara or Fiona and they will do everything in their power to make your experience one to remember.

Recently visited for 2 night Spa package with my daughter. Stunning location. Beautiful view from our room over the river. Staff absolutely friendly and helpful. Spa amazing. Food unfortunately as much as it pains me to write anything negative about this visit I must be honest. Breakfast was poor both mornings. Cold mushroom, tomato on soggy toast. The presentation of food was a big issue. I love Caesar salad which is a simple dish. Lumps of wilting lettuce with a large salty piece of bacon on top. No croutons. It was Visually off putting. Surely a chef can do better job.

The best spa experience ive ever had. The little details really make it such a nice experience. From the moment we walked in the staff were so lovely and friendly. The dressing rooms were very clean and had everything you needed including plastic bags for your wet swinwear. There was even a sign to ask at reception if you forgot any toiletries. The thermal suite was amazing and not overcrowded. I went for the back massage, mini facial and a scalp message with Shauna. I couldnt recommend her enough! The treatment was so relaxing. Little details like the heated towels and flip flop were so lovely. After my treatments I was given a option of a herbal tea and sorbet. We went for lunch after and the food was superb. Cannot fault our experience at all was a 10/10!
