Stayed recently in the Ice House Hotel, so called as it was an ice house in the 1800's where commercial ice was stored at cellar level on the banks of the river Moy. Reception was friendly and efficient. Our room was large and spotlessly clean looking out onto the river with great views. The original house / ice store was...

From arriving at the hotels small and picture postcard river viewing the location is gorgeous and very quiet during the winter months. If your after a weekend break or a trip with a few couples this place is fantastic and I fully recommend people take a trip to this part of Ireland, the restaurant is lovely and the spa is...

We stayed here for 2 nights, we had a deluxe room and it had fabulous views over the river. The room was very clean and big. The food in the restaurant was first class and the staff were very helpful and friendly in the hotel. I would not hesitate staying here again if in the area. I don't have one...

Located just outside Ballina in a former ice storage building. Excellent food and boutique hotel with great views. Popular spa. Similar to cliff house in Ardmore in Waterford. Near Enniscrone beach and golf links.

Spent two nights in The Ice House recently. It delivers on all its promises. For a start, the welcome was warm. There was a problem with our room being cold when we arrived. I did raise it with the receptionist who showed us to our room but he said the heating would come on at 6 (in 3 hours) and...

Really looked forward to our visit. The idea of a converted ice house was appealing and it is a little bit different. Situation overlooking the river is ideal with lovely views from the bedrooms and many of the restaurant tables. Hotel mixes old and new very well. Less satisfactory is the limited parking which is on the street and the...

From the minute we pulled up outside we knew we made a mistake. The hotel from the outside is grubby their signs are faded and the outside of the building is very tired looking. The lady at reception was pleasant and showed us to our very basic room nothing special and advised us we had free use of the "spa"....

Stayed 1 night on the way home from a 3 day trip. Bit of a walk from reception to our room down 2 flights of stairs but well worth it when we got to our room which was almost sitting on the water. V relaxing from the moment we entered the hotel the atmosphere is chilled and laid back with...

My wife and I booked one night with dinner for €249. We were well received at the reception and shown to our room. The room overlooked the river and was quite pleasant. However the toilet was almost impossible to flush despite our best efforts. I mentioned this when I was leaving and was told that one must press the two...

We went here for one night. It is in a beautiful location and there is a homely feel about the place in some parts of the hotel. The majority of the staff are very nice. It overlooks the river Moy and Belleek woods. The bar is nice but quite small. I feel the place is a bit of a mixed...
