Enjoyed a 2-night stay here on a B+B and 2 dinner deal ( 2 courses)
Pros Clean comfortable hotel, nice room with a view over the garden Exceptionally quiet at night, not a sound to be heard outside and no noise from other rooms Fast wifi in rooms Adequate COVID precautions in place, lots of sanitizer dispensers everywhere Very friendly helpful staff Great breakfast Good food in the restaurant Leisure centre opens at 8.00 so swim before breakfast possible Nice grounds to walk in especially by the river Good location for touring N.Mayo
Cons Dinner menu limited on the overnight stay deal, on the first night the daily special was allowed on the deal but on the 2nd night, we couldn't have it. For the euro or two extra, it would cost they should allow the normal menu as other hotels doing deals on our staycation did. But the food was tasty and good
Notified reception that there was no remote for tv on check-in but didn't receive one until the next evening after I reminded them twice and then it didn't work as it wasn't programmed in . It wasn't really a problem as we managed to work tv without it but If rooms get a deep clean as required by COVID how come the cleaner didn't notice it was missing? and behind the tv was very dusty
You have to go outside across the car park to the leisure centre it's nice when you can access pool from your bedroom as you can change/shower in the bedroom and much safer now with Covid.
Leisure centre looking tired and in need of refurbishment

Rachel and her team were professional and attentive from start to finish. The Lough Conn Suite was perfect for our event and the table settings were tasteful and appropriate for the occasion. Food, drinks and service were excellent. The bedrooms rooms were clean, warm and homely. The breakfast buffet was nicely set up and the cooked breakfast delicious . Over all I felt we received great value for money in a beautiful location and I will definitely use the Twin Trees for other occasions in the further.

Highly recommended hotel. Lovely food at a reasonable price and served with a smile, the staff are second to none. The restuarant is spacious and seating comfy and spacious. There is a Large Television in the Restuarant. The owner is a real Gentleman, and is always around, always busy ,and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, tea and coffee facilities available, and of course the hair dryer and ironing board, and ironing board . Plenty of storage space for clothes. The rooms are kept super clean ,and the hotel is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. The bar stocks all the drinks you could wish for service is good and the barstaff are friendly, and know their jobs well . I had to leave the Erris Coast Hotel in Geesala ( Been booked on there since June as I am working away from my home in Carlow ) for three nights due to a wedding there where all rooms were booked out, glad I picked here. Initially I was surprised to have to pay €12.50 for breakfast this morning after paying €420 for a three night stay, however breakfast was top class,I attach photos . Sausages were tasty and quality . Live football (Soccer) was not available however we can watch on our mobile phones these days. Top class hotel, quality food and an owner who is passionate about delivering quality service second to none and who really cares about what your thoughts are on the hotel and what it offers and delivers. Also swimming pool and leisure centre here with a gym, everyone raves about these facilities. Please book this hotel if you want good quality of food , a well kept ,well run hotel which really is a class act. Oh the Sirloin Steak I had last night was out of this world, and Eton Mess very tasty.

Have stayed here for many years, but I have to admit this will be my last visit. When we were driving down the road to the hotel seen alot of foreign nationals didn't think anything of it, they were taking over the whole road walking, no rush to move in. Pulled into the carpark and there were loads of them hanging around, thought this was very strange. I then seen them in the windows, a security guard was outside the door, this didn't seem normal. We checked in, room was lovely and warm and very clean. I noticed that the gate going upstairs from our floor was locked as there was no access. We were going to a party and when we came back the security guard was walking around outside this started to freak me out. The breakfast was very poor to what you'd normally get there and then the security guard arrived for his breakfast. I was on the phone to my friend and I was telling her, she explained about the foreign nations taking residency in the hotel and what had happened with the protests. I believe when I booked the hotel i should have been told them they were now residing in the hotel or at least offer the room at a lower rate,

Avoid this hotel came here with a coach tour the first room I was given was disgusting black mould on the windows cobwebs, ripped curtains never check the bathroom spoke to reception who I think was the owner she was passive aggressive & just claired all the time, found mould on bread at breakfast. Main course was tasteless fish obviously frozen. Second room we got looked improved but was almost as bad but I never complained wanted to keep my head on. Would never recommend anyone use this hotel. Tables were all wiped with one cloth no anti back spray & immediately set for breakfast it was an awful experience

We recently stayed in this hotel. As one of our party is a wheelchair user we requested a wheelchair accessible room and we specifically asked was the bathroom fully wheelchair accessible with a roll in shower, which we we're assured it was. You can imagine our dismay when we arrived in to our room to realise that in actual fact the shower in the bathroom was not a roll in shower and it was infact a shower cubicle with a shower tray and doors, which meant it was totally unsuitable for the wheelchair users needs. We were advised that the other bathroom's in the accessible rooms were all the same. For the duration of our stay this meant the only washing facilities available to the wheelchair user was the sink. We spoke to the Manager and advised them that at present these rooms really should not be advertised as wheelchair accessible, as they do not meet the requirements of a full time wheelchair user. We were advised that they would look into it. The wheelchair ramp up to the breakfast room is also very steep and dangerous. On a positive note the food was lovely and staff were helpful. Unfortunately the current facilities in the accessible rooms and access to the breakfast room, make this hotel unsuitable for wheelchair users but hopefully the facilities will be improved in the future.

Wow, amazing wedding venue, so happy we found the Twin Trees, Rachael and David made our wedding a truly wonderful event. From start to finish, it was perfect. Amazing food, including catering for my gluten free diet. Guiding us through everything that was needed, providing and organising a beautiful room for our wedding, canapés and prosecco prior to a fantastic meal catering for different tastes, including vegan. A warm wonderful friendly environment, nothing too much trouble. Would recommend Twin Trees whole heartedly. A great Irish welcome awaits you, lovely breakfast! Great bar menu, the staff eager to make everything go well. What more can I say, a perfect stay, a perfect day. Thankyou all for your hard work. ❤️🌹

I've been a member of a few leisure centres over the years but I feel like this will be my last one. From the moment I rang to enquire about membership after lockdown I felt so welcome and at ease. They explained it was members only which really appealed to me as everyone who is there has so much respect for the place, initially I signed up for a 3 mth membership to see how it went but after that I paid for a year as their prices are very competitive. I always get a lovely warm welcome as all the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. Aisling, Patrick and Michelle and other lads work very hard but it doesn't seem to be a chore. I love that I can book in myself online and the system they have set up is excellent as you can see how many spaces are free and I can pick the best time for me. I especially love attending aqua aerobics, the temperature of the pool is perfect, Great music and it doesn't feel like a chore to work out. Pool and changing rooms are always very clean and well maintained. Sauna, steamroom & jacuzzi too so that's a nice treat after a workout. Gym is very well equipped and I rarely have to wait to use equipment. My children started swimming lessons there too and they love it as they can stand comfortably but when more confident they can move to deeper end. They are learning so quickly and love the water now thanks to the swimming instructors. It's just a lovely place to have membership as there's such a nice atmosphere and a huge amount of classes . So impressive 👏

We planned to get away for 4 night midweek, just wanting to spend some time in the hotel, having a bit of lunch, a drink, a bit of reading etc but when we arrived we were told the bar wasn't open until 4.30 and there was no food available until 5,30 during the week. This meant we were forced to leave the hotel every day. We ended up leaving the next day and cutting our holiday short, but at least they refunded the 3 nights.
As soon as you enter the lobby you are met with a stale smell of smoke and some other musty odour. You also get this as soon as you open the stairwell door to come downstairs. Our room (263) had ripped curtain liners and the whole place needs a lot of money spending on it to bring it out of the 70s, which sadly in the current financial climate is unlikely to happen.
At check-in we were given a paper cup with a tea bag each, as it seems they've taken the cups out of the rooms for COVID reasons. I can't understand why they couldn't provide cups as usual then just put them in the dishwasher when the guests have checked out.
Finally, the restaurant isn't very good. The choice of wine is limited and the draft beer I asked for was not available, even though the pump was there. We only ordered starters but the salmon was dried up, the wantons were burnt and the chowder tasted like chewy fish in warm milk.

We stayed here for 5 days from the 15 of august and to say we were very disappointed is an understatement. The hotel smells terribly and we stayed in room 105 with a parm which was like a dungeon with two flights of stairs . When we arrived we asked the receptionist is there another room only to b told no . We went for dinner in the bar restaurant on the first nite and couldn’t believe children are not allowed in the bar past 9.30 shocked maybe that’s y the bar is empty.
My parents came along in room 104 only to wake up after the first night feeling sick with the smell of sewage in the room absolutely vile smell . When this was reported the maintenance man came to fix it along side a very dangerous plug socket , to be honest even after it been fixed the room was stinking .
The decor of the hotel is well outdated cracks in the tub and rooms r disgusting prob a 2 star . The leisure Centre is outdated especially the dressing rooms .
Breakfast was nice but tables overcrowded and needed to ask a few times for tea and coffee .
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to a family or friends and it’s a shame because we were looking forward to our stay .
On the phone when booking this hotel we were told there was a summer camp ruining the week we were there . When we asked receptionist about this we’re were told she knew nothing about it to ring the leisure Centre for details only to be told he knew nothing about it false information to be honest not a hotel for young families
