Staff were friendly and breakfast was ok but the hotel itself is dated and smells musty. It is a very basic hotel and overpriced in my opinion. No bottled water in room, no shower gel in pool bathrooms. It really is no frills and this is not reflected in the price.
We stayed here for 3 nights over the October bank holiday weekend (2 adults, 3 kids) and really enjoyed it. It is a family run hotel which comes across in the ambience. The location is beautiful in the autumn, as the hotel is surrounded by mature deciduous trees and the beautiful Brosna waterfall. Breakfast was in a lovely space overlooking the river and trees, and was very relaxing. We had dinner there 2 nights, food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We had 2 interlocking rooms which worked very well with kids. Overall we found it a very friendly experience and good value for money.
Highly recommended hotel. Lovely food at a reasonable price and served with a smile, the staff are second to none. The restuarant is spacious and seating comfy and spacious. There is a Large Television in the Restuarant. The owner is a real Gentleman, and is always around, always busy ,and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, tea and coffee facilities available, and of course the hair dryer and ironing board, and ironing board . Plenty of storage space for clothes. The rooms are kept super clean ,and the hotel is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. The bar stocks all the drinks you could wish for service is good and the barstaff are friendly, and know their jobs well . I had to leave the Erris Coast Hotel in Geesala ( Been booked on there since June as I am working away from my home in Carlow ) for three nights due to a wedding there where all rooms were booked out, glad I picked here. Initially I was surprised to have to pay €12.50 for breakfast this morning after paying €420 for a three night stay, however breakfast was top class,I attach photos . Sausages were tasty and quality . Live football (Soccer) was not available however we can watch on our mobile phones these days. Top class hotel, quality food and an owner who is passionate about delivering quality service second to none and who really cares about what your thoughts are on the hotel and what it offers and delivers. Also swimming pool and leisure centre here with a gym, everyone raves about these facilities. Please book this hotel if you want good quality of food , a well kept ,well run hotel which really is a class act. Oh the Sirloin Steak I had last night was out of this world, and Eton Mess very tasty. …
Avoid, save yourself from this passive aggressive crew No ambience, bare rooms, cold, hostile staff Worn frayed white duvets Stale smell in room No customer service Poor menu Poorly lit side road to hotel so wouldn't recommend walk in evening
I stayed at this hotel for three nights for my friends' wedding. The food was great and the leisure centre was perfect for a few pre-pint breast-strokes. The hotel staff were very welcoming - so welcoming they even dropped us to local pub to save us getting a taxi.
Stayed in Twin Trees Hotel, Ballina. For a 2 night break. Excellent accommodation and food. Beautiful surroundings. Hosts were exceptional and all staff diligent. Very family friendly hotel with lots to do for adults and kids
We had a wonderful week long stay at the Twin Trees. Lovely warm welcome, the staff and owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was bright, airy and absolutely spotless. Leisure centre with pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna was a great way to relax .The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The bar food was top class and reasonably priced. Beautiful gardens to stroll around in or sit and read a book .Gardner there all week and had it looking beautiful . We were sorry we couldn't stay longer , so next year we're booking in for 2 weeks !
Leisure centre is very outdated. Facilities need a total upgrade, some machines are well past there sell by date. No locks on lockers. It has an old worn out feel to the place. Staff rarely answer the phone. It closes at 2 o'clock on a Sunday which is ridiculous as this is when most members are off work and want to use it
Highly recommend all classes provided within the leisure centre The staff are very friendly and very professional. Easy to book from the online app. Dressing rooms clean and always hot water in the shower
I would highly recommend the twin tress leisure centre. Patrick aisling shelly and cahill offer excellent classes and great workouts. Pool is lovely and dressing rooms are always very clean. Lovely friendly atmosphere.
