10 of us took a gamble on a one off murder mystery weekend in Foxford and had one of the best weekends we've ever had. We rented the self-catering cottages which were lovely and bright with all the amenities we could have hoped for. The murder mystery was brilliantly organised. Bridget and Harry were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 4 nights and can safely say that we will be returning, Both Bridget and Harry have been by far one of the best hosts we have met. To say that it is home away from home wouldn't describe the work and caring environment that they both provide. Very clean and spacious rooms. They help to accommodate in anyway that they can, my mum is gluten free and they provided gluten free bread all mornings for the breakfast, and speaking of that the food is absolutely delicious and so fresh to have first thing in the morning, Bridgets homemade bread was the one thing I was most looking forward to every morning and I sure did enjoy it to, and the option to buy it and take some home was even better. We will definitely be back here next year all being well, thank you both so much for your hospitality and taking time to help and care and cater to any of our needs :) Anjanee & Mary

As a group of ten,we travelled to Foxford to take part in a weekend painting experience with Harry Feeney, and what a weekend we had.!! Despite the weather, we managed to fit in a photographic tour of the area and collect some beautiful photos for future projects. Harry and Brigid were brilliant hosts, and we loved Brigid's beautiful scones and cakes. Everybody travelled home with fresh wheaten scones and cakes. We had a fantastic experience, and many laughs, and we can't wait to do it all over again at some point in the future.

The reason for my stay was a painting holiday in the adjacent studio. I travelled over from Leicestershire, England, meeting up with two friends, and making some new ones. The tuition provided on watercolour painting by the proprietor Harry Feeney was brilliant, I learned a great deal and have come home with several beautiful paintings. The accommodation was great. The food provided by Harry's lovely wife Bridgit, was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, even my gluten intolerance was fully catered for. This is a wonderfully peaceful little town and would be a great base for anyone going County Mayo. I would recommend it without hesitation, and hope to be back for some sight seeing in the future.

Had an amazing time at the Foxford lodge last weekend. The family are lovely, the house is amazing and the home made bread is worth the trip. From Karaoke to just relaxing this is the perfect setting for a nice weekend away. We were here for a hen party and a murder mystery weekend. We didn't have to worry about anything because it was all arranged, collection from train, bus to the murder venue, all sorted and ready to go. Highly recommend Foxford Lodge for anyone who wants a nice weekend away, a mid week break or a hen party :) thanks very much - really enjoyed it!! The house is beautifully decorated with nautical theme. Really loved the stay here. Would definitely go again.

A group of 9 of us did the murder mystery weekend organised by the Foxford Lodge. We stayed in the Railway Cottages but Harry & Bridget looked after our every need. They supplied a Chinese Buffet for us on our arrival and when some members decided to stay in on the Saturday afternoon they dropped down Dvds for them to watch. The breakfast which they delivered to us was of the highest standards. We were collected on the Saturday evening for the murder mystery with Ray and it was a great success. The four course meal provided was also excellent. All in all the whole weekend was a great sucess the only probelm being the rain - which Harry & Bridget couldn't do anything about. I would highly recommend this alternative weekend......

My husband and I booked a long weekend at Foxford lodge for a getaway and had a great, relaxing time! We stayed at one of the furnished houses up the road from the lodge and really enjoyed it! It had everything you could possibly need and it was extremely clean and comfortable. Additionally, the owners were very friendly and helpful. They recommended many places to eat and some very nice pubs in the area. They also offered to arrange a cab for us if necessary. I cannot say enough about the hospitality we were shown during our visit. We would definitely go back! A must when in Foxford! They also have a nice hall next to the lodge that can be rented out for events.
