Stayed at Railway Cottage for a week in August with family of 5 adults. The Cottage was nice and big with plenty of room for us all. The owners Harry and Brigid were very welcoming and delivered fresh bread the next morning (delicious).

My boyfriend and I stayed here after climbing Croagh Patrick and found it a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Brigid is very accommodating and the room was lovely - clean, spacious and well furnished. The breakfast was beautiful - the potato cakes were amazing! We also ordered a loaf of Brigid's chocolate and banana bread to take home with us... More

We are just back from a lovely relaxing stay in the Foxford Lodge and Brigid and Harry were very welcoming hosts. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable and the Foxford Special is a must for breakfast! Will definitely be staying here the next time we are down for a fishing trip.

We stayed a couple of nights whilst visiting relatives in the area, and were looked after wonderfully by Bridget and Harry. The beds were very comfortable and our room had a lovely ensuite shower room. There was a great choice of options for our breakfasts including the wonderful salmon referred to by another reviewer. The house is very attractively decorated... More

We had a very comfortable stay with Brigid and Harry. We wanted to fish and Harry got us connected to a friend of his that took us out for an entire day of fishing. It was great! Breakfast was expertly prepared and presented, very tasteful. We really enjoyed our time there!

A warm and sincere welcome to a place makes up for a lot of failure in other respects, but when the other things are excellent as well, you have a winner. This is the case with Foxford Lodge. Bridget's welcome was genuine, and she admitted that 99 per cent of her guests were great, which in my books makes her... More

Lovely friendly welcome from Bridget and Harry, served coffee and a freshly made scone and home-made jam upon arrival. Given lots of helpful information about where to eat and things to do in the local area. There is a gallery alongside the b&b but unfortunately we didn’t have time available to view the paintings inside. The room was spotlessly clean... More
