Excellent and breathtaking views. Thanks to a very hospitable host Laurence. Stayed here for 1 night to celebrate my wife's birthday. She was really happy and relaxed during the stay. Place was really immaculate, peaceful and quiet.I will definitely be back here. Marco Galway
My Mum and I stayed in one of the pods for 2 nights last week and we had the most amazing time. What a perfect location with the most amazing views you could wish for. The peace of waking up and going to sleep there was just what was needed along with the most beautiful sunsets. Laurence and his family are the most amazing hosts and really made our experience, going out of their way to get us on a boat trip to Achill Island which was great. Such a friendly family. I would highly recommend a trip here and the drive in and out across the dunes was great fun.
We had a fantastic 2 days in the pods. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Laurence and family have created an absolute gem here. The pod was spotless, perfectly laid out for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids The view in the morning is something to behold. The communal kitchen/shower area was ideal and great access. The local knowledge for food, trips etc was perfect Laurence was good enough to light the campfire for smores for us despite the wind :) The drive across the beach to reach the pods really has to be seen to be believed We will definitely be back. Amazing
Stayed here for 2 night break. Pods were so candy and comfortable. Looking out on Atlantic , perfect location. Self catering kitchen was warm and ample room for seating and cooking. Five minutes walk to fabulous beach. Lawrence, Myra and Lawrence senior very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend staying here. Definitely will be back .
We have just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay in the Belmullet Coast Guard Station Pods and would highly recommend for couples looking for a getaway with a difference. We were blessed with excellent weather but with or without good weather, you are guaranteed spectacular scenery, The pods were clean, warm and very comfortable. Beautiful drives and hikes are all nearby but you can also just simply walk down the road for an amazing beach walk in daylight or under the stars!
We have just returned from our trip out to Claggan island and I couldn’t recommend these pods enough, with one pod comfortably sleeping four adults. Lawrence and family go above and beyond to make you feel at home, we had a lovely fire to sit around each evening and the views are just spectacular!
We are just back from a 3 night stay. Absolutely amazing haven, spotless pod which easily slept 2 adults and 2 kids. Lawrence Senior and Junior are never far and always available for a chat or info on the area. We wanted a quiet break during these uncertain times and that is exactly what we got. The beaches have to be seen to be believed, so quiet, we had them to ourselves. There is a shared kitchen and shower area available for the 2 pods which are spotless. Everything marked for each pod so there is no crossover of use with the other visitors. Lovely restaurants with outdoor dining available in nearby Belmullet. We will definitely be back.
We are only back from a 2 nights stay in the luxury pods! They are absolutely gorgeous, despite the weather we made the most of it the views just speak for themselves! The family that run them are so nice and helpful! We will definitely be back and we can't wait. If your looking at somewhere just to relax and unwind i definitely recommend these pods!
We stayed in the Pods as a family of six. We received a very warm welcome from Laurence Senior who had the stove lighting for us in the communal area. We had this to ourselves as we rented both Pods and the facilities for cooking and relaxing were spotlessly clean and the showers and bathrooms were very good with plently of hot water. There was a four ring gas hob, oven, toaster, nespresso machine and fridge with separate freezer for our own personal use so felt really at home and cooked on our first two nights and ate out on our third night. The tranquility of the island was something we all really enjoyed and appreciated and makes it a very unique experience. The beaches are beautiful and we had these to ourselves and swam in the ocean. The animals all around were very special we loved getting to know them. We all agreed that three nights was not enough so we hope to return for a week next year. You will leave feeling refreshed and very well taken care of. The CGS is in close proximity to The Erris Loop trail and Ceathru Thaidhg which are a must when visiting Belmullet. You may not want to leave the little oasis that is Claggan Island and there would be nothing wrong with that either! Looking forward to another stay already. I would highly recommend a stay here it has all you need for a unique and upmarket glamping experience with a truly home from home feel to it. Thanks to Laurence Senior and Junior for a memorable family trip. Wishing you the best in these very difficult times. Best Wishes, Healy-Erkena and Byrnes Family. …
I would highly recommend staying here. The pod comfortably slept two adults and three children under nine years old. It was very clean with a good size bathroom with a shower. On site was a well equipped communal kitchen. Lovely location and walking distance from town.
