It was everything a bride to be could wish for and want. It was perfect! Thank you so much to all of the staff who made this the beautiful weekend it was.

Popped in to dine and decided to book a room on a whim, to extend a visit to Belmullet. Don't be fooled by the exterior...looks like a pub-restaurant, but Tardis-like interior boasts an enormous old-world/quirky hotel of 21 bedrooms (soon to be 31, apparently). The bar restaurant is spacious and comfortable with a no-nonsense seafood-based menu. Our dishes were cooked to perfection (chowder starter highly recommended). Bedrooms extremely well-appointed, superb bathrooms, comfy decor. The real surprise is the upstairs breakfast/dining room...this is not your run-of-the-mill pub B&B, it is tastefully furnished and decorated in old-world comfort with a modern twist. Best thing though is the staff...in the bar/restaurant, reception and breakfast room: cheerful, efficient and welcoming. Will stay here again, definitely!

Thank you Niall I have already shared your review with all our team. We have a great gang of all ages and different personalities but one thing they share in common is that they care and want you to have a good time … if we can have a laugh along the way that’s a bonus as is your review. You were a pleasure to have and we hope you get a chance to return soon … maybe without the storm… even though to us it was just a stiff breeze.

We stayed here in early June shortly after hospitality opened and can honestly say from start to finish everything couldnt be faulted. We had 2 great suites that we stayed in , both the Noir and Ivory Suites are amazing and well worth the splurge. Those bathrooms are to die for, the soaking tub and TV and the Jacuzzi baths wow. Food and service were amazing and all Covid-19 regulations were followed at the time. Indoor for residents and outdoor for non which was good to see. Monika was our server and she was amazing, she was kept busy but was a great host and was very nice with her coworkers with a good flow of chats and service. The food and beer flowed well and some tasty cocktails were sampled too. Breakfast was cooked to order , served fresh and prompt by a lovely bunch of girls and nothing was too much trouble for them even with a fussy eater. We made use of a late checkout , extra charge but it was worth the cost as we found it hard to leave those amazing suites. We are back again this weekend and i have no doubt that this stay will be just as good with great service and hospitality which you will defiantly find at The Talbot.

The staff are exceptional. Incredible local knowledge for things to see/do. The nicest, friendliest bunch we’ve met in a long time. Check out was delayed slightly because they were upstairs singing Happy Birthday to a guest in the restaurant. That’s how fabulous they are. This was a last minute booking , we were out for a drive 🤣 and decided we’d like to see more of the area, spotted the great reviews for The Talbot. Rooms fabulous, beds incredibly comfy, you will not leave hungry after the breakfast. Highly recommend.

What a great hotel!! The staff are all amazing. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast both mornings which was delicious!! We also had dinner the the restaurant/bar on our first night with family who live in the local area and everyone absolutely loved their food!! The staff were so attentive and made sure you had anything you could ever want!! The lovely lady who served us breakfast the past two days deserves special mention as she was just fantastic! The reception staff were all lovely and very welcoming. The room was fantastic! Lovely, comfortable, four poster bed with a sofa and chairs that were very comfortable! Bathroom was lovely and clean with a huge, powerful shower and a separate big bath! I barely wanted to leave my room!! I have already recommended the hotel to family and cannot wait to come back!! An absolute gem in a beautiful town with stunning views just minutes from the door! If you’re looking for a hotel in Belmullet, choose this one!! Only 20 minutes drive from the beautiful Black Sod too! Can’t recommend enough!!!

Really enjoy our night stay . Our room was perfect and it had the most comfortable bed and pillows. T Nespresso machine a nice touch. Good bathroom with strong shower. The entire hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean. All of the staff throughout the hotel were very nice and friendly.Covid precautions in place . Food was served in the bar as restaurant was closed. Unfortunately it was mostly shellfish on menu which I can’t eat. I had fish cakes which were ok. My husband had the curry which was so salty. The rice was still hard ( under cooked) disappointing as otherwise hotel was super.

Thank you for your lovely review, I am delighted you loved the room and the staff. We do offer a variety of dishes and I thought I covered all tastes but as they say Doctors differ and patients die …we were criticised this summer for having little seafood, but I’m with you on that one …being on the coast we do have a lot of seafood. I’m sorry about the curry and the rice I will have it tomorrow to check and share your experience with the kitchen. Thank you for letting me know and I hope you get a chance to return in the near future.
