I just stayed for a night on my holidays in Mayo, but Máirín made it special. She welcomed me with a cup of tea and scones and gave me helpfull information about where I was going to. The irish breakfast and pancakes on tuesday, just fantastic. Great hosts. Just the temperature in bathroom is a bit to cold, think it's just to acclimatize with the outside storm... :-)

Have stayed with Mairin and Gerry several times, superb service and wonderful accommodations. We had three generations staying there and playing golf at Carne. Would not think of staying anywhere else!

We stayed in this B&B last May (2014) as we were going to a wedding at the Broadhaven Bay. Mairin was a wonderful host and the breakfast was wonderful. A huge choice. A lovely environment and beautiful setting. I would love to go back!

Drum Caoin is conveniently situated a short distance from the town centr eof Belmullet and has panoramic views to the South over Achill. the onwers Marin and Gerry Murphy are very welcoming and will do anything to make your stay better. They have a vast of information about the local area and can guide you on what to do and where to go. The breakfast is wonderful with full Irish on offer.

Stayed here this weekend as I was attending a wedding in a hotel up the road. This B&B was very easy to find. It was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great too. Upon arrival, we were given tea and scones which was really appreciated after a long drive from Dublin. When we checked out, we were given a box of fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden. A really nice end to a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend this place to others.

A truly warm welcome at a lovely B&B. Great breakfast, comfortable rooms. It's Máirín's knowledge that makes for a great stay. She can recommend every road, view and turn across the region and enables you to see all that the region has to offer. She was also able to lead us on a tutored wine tasting. It doesn't get better!

Perfection from start to finish! We arrived here unsure of how long we were going to stay but it didn't take long to make up our minds to stay the rest of the week. I stayed in room #6 (the apartment suite). The view from the room was beautiful (even on the cloudy days) and the smell of fresh peat burning and the sounds of nearby sheep made it hard to leave this slice of heaven! Just an 8 minute walk into the town center, Drom Caoin is primely located for the best restaurants and bars. A full Irish breakfast each morning was both fresh and delicious and the perfect way to start our day of touring. Máirín graciously gave us plenty of local suggestions to hit along the way and provided maps with highlighted routes so that we could get the best views. She also went above and…

Located only 1.5 hrs from Knock West airport, Belmullet sits at the gateway to all that north Mayo has to offer, especially for the outdoorsy traveller. Drom Caoin is just outside the town centre, with stunning views over the nearby hills, the bay and the Belmullet peninsula (a geologist's heaven). From the start you get the warmest of welcomes from the Murphys, including tea and cake, as well as recommendations on places to eat, things to see and how to pronounce the trickier place names - particularly helpful when force 8 gales made field work too dangerous. The bed was comfy, the room pleasantly warm, the internet speedy (especially for the west coast) and the morning breakfast will easily sustain you until lunch (or beyond). A particular plus to me was the ability to leave…
