Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely B&B just 5 minutes walk from town. We had a large room/suite with full kitchen facilities and kingsize bed. Mairin was friendly and welcoming ensuring we had everything we needed and Gerry's 'full irish' breakfast was big enough for anyones appetite.

Good size room, comfortable bed, good shower room, cozy sitting room with TV, superb breakfast cooked to order, fresh fruit, cereals and Irish bread served at the family's dining table. Good location, 10 mins walk from village centre, great views over fabulous coastline. The hosts provide a very friendly welcome and know the region backwards if you need travel advice. Highly recommend.

The rooms and beds were comfy and king sized! The breakfasts were wonderful too. Mairin is well versed in anything you need to know about the area or things to do. Location looks out at the bay is is a quick walk into the town center. We had many accommodations in the town for a family reunion and I can't tell you how much help Mairin was in the months prior to our arrival with many questions and details.

Stayed @ Drom Caoin while doing a full Ireland trip by car in 2009. Played Carne Golf Course back then with this B&B owner. Based on that experience have returned for 2 nights. Very clean home. A excellent choice breakfast offering "full Irish". Ample parking. Located very near town centre. Márín provides prompt replies to emails with good driving directions. I have had the pleasure of playing a hidden gem of a golf course in heavy rain (2009). Drom Caoin has a good wet rain clothing drying area. Yesterday played with 30 knot winds and very good visibility. A wonderful golf track. Márin can arranged a stay & play package @ a very good rate. Excellent value with homey comfort. Should be no problem hosting a foursome with separate beds.

Marin and Gerry are wonderful, gracious hosts. We booked the stay and play package and Mairin made the arrangements for us to play at Carne Golf Links. 8 of us descended upon Drom Caoin after a wet and windy round of golf. Mairin immediately made us feel welcome. She went above and beyond by driving us to town in 2 separate trips so we could grab dinner before the restaurant closed. The rooms were quite comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. When one of the members of our group forgot something, Gerry drove and met us half way to return the item. I highly recommend staying at Drom Caoin.

We had the privilege of staying with Mairin and Gerry in June. Everything from the stories told at breakfast to arranging our golf at Carne Links was done with kindness and humour. We wish that we had stayed longer! An easy walk to town for dinner if you like.

Thank you very much for the incredible time we had in Belmullet at Drom Caoin! We were really lucky to have the best weather, so we could check out the beautiful places Mairin recommended. Breakfast was the best we had during our trip through Ireland! We will definitely come back :) Johannes & Pia

Plan to the Wild West of Ireland planned well in advance. BB in Belmullet with a strange name. First contact was answered in Gaelic! The following mail conversation did not teach me gaelic but tought me to use the Google Translator! We had a studio apartment very suitable to people on the move with golf stuff. Fully equipped kitchen. Room nr 6! Good breakfast!!

We just stayed for two nights- and Máirín and Gerry were so friendly and accommodating! Breakfast was wonderful! There were four of us- perfect accommodation for my husband, myself, and our two teenagers. Would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone visiting this area!

My wife and I spent one night at Drom Caoin while traveling with another couple through western Ireland. The B&B is located just outside of Belmullet and was easy to find. It took us approximately 10-15 minutes to walk from Drom Caoin to the center of Belmullet. There was a slight room issue when we arrived at the B&B but Máirín was still able to accommodate the 4 of us with 2 rooms. My wife and I stayed in a Double Room on the first floor (room 2) The furnishings were standard and the room had an adjoining bathroom with shower. The room was very clean and while my wife thought it was a little chilly, we were both comfortable through the night. There is also a sitting room available to guests. I believe it had a stereo and TV but our group used it to sit by the fire and
