My brother and I travelled to Belmullet to do some family history research, we stayed at the Drom Caoin for 3 nights and it was wonderful. Mairin & Gerry are the perfect hosts and the breakfasts are second to none. Mairin was very helpful with our research and knows all the history of the area and people which was very useful. Belmullet and the mullet peninsula is very scenic and we visited some really nice spots. We will probably return to Belmullet in the future and if we do we will Definitely stay at Drom Caoin

I travelled with family to Belmullet to attend a family wedding in Cornboy and later in the day the evening reception was held at the Broadhaven Bay Hotel. We stayed 2 nights at the Drom Caoin B&B, we booked 2 double rooms and 1 single room. All our rooms were comfortable and clean and had ensuite bathrooms (a bit basic - I prefer staying at hotels, but the Broadhaven was a bit too expensive ;-). The owners were helpful, letting us use their ironing facilities, borrowing hairdryers, etc. The location of the Drom Caoin is stunning, Belmullet is a beautiful area. Compared to the 2nd B&B we stayed in on the 3rd night, this was a good choice!

Our Sierra Club group stay at this wonderful B&B for three nights. My roomate and I were lucky to be given the apartment that was fully equiped and very large. Our hostess Mairin was very generous by letting us know to use anything we find in the suite. We had a cocktail gathering and were able to relax in comfort with a large group. She is a wonderful hostess and was very accomodating for breakfasts. Whatever we wanted was made to order and served beautifully. The gardens surrounding the inn were just gorgeous and well maintained. I would highly recommend staying at the Drom Caoin, I certainly will if I am able to travel to Belmullet again.

Stayed @ Drom Caoin while doing a full Ireland trip by car in 2009. Played Carne Golf Course back then with this B&B owner. Based on that experience have returned for 2 nights. Very clean home. A excellent choice breakfast offering "full Irish". Ample parking. Located very near town centre. Márín provides prompt replies to emails with good driving directions. I have had the pleasure of playing a hidden gem of a golf course in heavy rain (2009). Drom Caoin has a good wet rain clothing drying area. Yesterday played with 30 knot winds and very good visibility. A wonderful golf track. Márin can arranged a stay & play package @ a very good rate. Excellent value with homey comfort. Should be no problem hosting a foursome with separate beds.

We just stayed for two nights- and Máirín and Gerry were so friendly and accommodating! Breakfast was wonderful! There were four of us- perfect accommodation for my husband, myself, and our two teenagers. Would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone visiting this area!

Met by hosts and shown to room but given option to choose any as we were only guests so we chose the suite and this was fabulous with everything there if self catering.
Everything perfect with great views over Belmullet
Breakfast was so tasty and our host took time to chat which gives it the personal touch
Free parking and two minutes drive to town
Highly recommended

This was the highlight of our recent trip to Ireland, the place we were waiting for and found to be just perfect! We had come to Belmullet to play the links style golf course and get out of the city to take in a slower, quieter, more authentic Ireland. Mairin and Gerry have designed their family home to accommodate guests comfortably and with all the amenities and special touches one could ask for. We stayed in a self-catering upstairs apartment with full kitchen and plenty of space, overlooking the neighbor's pasture with friendly cows and sheep. Our daughter stayed in a more traditional room with bath on the same level. It was the perfect arrangement, allowing us to prepare our own dinners and enjoy our quiet family time. Breakfast selections were abundant. Special order eggs were lovingly prepared and artfully presented. Cereals, muesli, fresh fruit (including kiwi, berries and pineapple), yogurt, fresh scones and fried/scrambled/poached eggs. The most delicious coffee, too! If we had to do it all over again, we would have stayed longer and used Belmullet and the Drom Caoin as our home base. Thank you, Mairin and Gerry, for your hospitality.

Stayed here this weekend as I was attending a wedding in a hotel up the road. This B&B was very easy to find. It was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great too. Upon arrival, we were given tea and scones which was really appreciated after a long drive from Dublin. When we checked out, we were given a box of fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden. A really nice end to a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend this place to others.
