My daughter and I stayed at the Dunlavin House in Dingle in October 2019, and it was great. Aidan and Marian are terrific hosts! They were very welcoming when we arrived, and even drove us into the main area of Dingle (which is only a short distance) giving us a tour of the town and dropping us off at the Dingle Pub for dinner. Breakfast each morning was delicious starting with Marian’s yogurt and fresh fruit parfait. Aidan was a wealth of knowledge about the Dingle Peninsula...both hosts love what they do and the Dingle area. We highly recommend Dunlavin House!

Whatever I write will be inadequate to describe the utterly delightful experience of staying at Dunlavin House with Aidan and Marian. This wonderfully warm, generous-hearted and brilliant couple will welcome you into their gorgeous house and their hearts as if you are long-lost family. You will receive the warmest of welcomes and shown to one of the stunning bedrooms with en-suite. These are beautifully decorated and furnished to the highest of standards like a boutique hotel. Everything has been thought of, from exceptional bed linen and towels, hairdryer to tea and coffee making facilities, including a Nespresso machine, in the room and smart tv with Netflix. The shower is amazing and the bathroom is beautiful with gorgeous shower gel and shampoo.

The breakfasts are served in a stunning conservatory dining room off the spacious guest lounge. You will first be served with Dunlavin Surprise - which is the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten for breakfast consisting of homemade granola, natural yogurt and a homemade fruit compote. I have been dreaming about this ever since I left! You then have a choice of a number of equally delicious options - we tried the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and also the full Irish. Both were served beautifully and were absolutely perfect in every way. All this was washed down with fresh orange juice and plenty of freshly brewed good strong coffee.

There is nothing at all that could be improved about this wonderful, chic establishment - it’s an absolutely brilliant place, run by the loveliest people I’ve ever met and my only sadness is that we weren’t able to stay for longer. If you go to Dingle - this is the only place to stay for sure!

You must stay in the Dunlavin House. Our room was so beautiful, comfortable, and clean with so many nice small touches to make us feel welcome. The breakfasts were beyond amazing. So much care went into the preparation and presentation of the food and it was just so delicious. But best of all, are the hosts. Aidan and Marion are so welcoming and friendly and helpful. They will spoil you. They were so nice to talk with and they gave us spot-on recommendations for our visit to the Dingle Peninsula after taking the time to listen to our interests. I can't recommend Dunlavin House more. Seth and Margie Hanft

While our room on the first floor was a little bit on the small side, the view was very nice and the walking distance to town just manageable (about 15 minutes). The hosts and the breakfast were wonderful, and the whole place looked neat, tidy and very inviting. Would come again.

Perfect little spot couldn’t of asked for any better. The hosts here are the nicest people that you will ever meet they couldn’t be any more friendly. They are full of information and happy just to chat with you. They really did make my trip.

The room was spotless and fresh as a daisy with beautiful views of the bay out of the window. The garden was a beautiful place to sit with a cup of coffee aswell.
Flat screen tv is the perfect size and a great size en-suite.
Felt like a home away from home.

I would fully recommend this guesthouse as it is a really personal experience and gives your trip that special something that really makes it memorable. (Also the food was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. Really remarkable experience)

All in all if you are in dingle you should stay here 100%.
Thank you guys for a lovely stay and hope to be back with you soon.

We got to Dingle on a gorgeous day and Dunlavin had the most perfect view. But more importantly the entire time we were there we were treated like family. Aidan and Marion are so funny, so kind and they make an excellent breakfast to start off your day. They absolutely were amazing to chat with and honestly they made us feel so welcome. My husband's insulin was taken care of and when they realized I was lactose intolerant they went out that day to get me oat milk so I would be able to have it with my tea. Staying with them was so very special. It helped make it our favorite place in Ireland.

Myself and my partner recently stayed here on our staycation. Our entire stay was outstanding. From the breakfast to the nespresso machine in the bedroom and the super comfy beds, that were hard to leave. Aidan and Marion were wonderful hosts and I have to say, we felt very safe there with the current social restrictions. We definetely be back and 100% recommend! This really made our stay in Dingle worth it!

Aidan and Marion will make you feel so welcome in their lovely BnB. The breakfasts are wonderfully prepared but the best part of Dunlavin House is the conversations with Aidan and Marion: about traveling, the world, and of course their spot on recommendations of all of the activities to partake in, which pubs to listen to "trad" music in, and where to drive, hike, walk, and meander all over the Dingle peninsula. We feel like we have lifelong Irish friends in Dingle and can't wait to return again.

Your stay at Dunlavin House will be an unforgettable experience of the most warm and friendly hospitality anywhere. Owner Aiden welcomed us upon arrival and surrounded us with care and helpful information. He and Marian will treat you like family in a picturesque setting only about a 20 minute walk from the Dingle city center. Room was very comfortable, spacious and equipped with every amenity needed including Nespresso coffee maker. Breakfast is cooked to order and is amazing. We followed Aiden's recommendation to have dinner one night at Danno's--highly recommend. We would absolutely return to Dunlavin House without hesitation. Note that owners regularly close the house to guests to allow them rest throughout the year so you will find dates not available as a result. Having had such a marvelous stay, I would plan my trip around Dunlavin House's open dates!

Is this property within walking distance to Dingle?
Answer from dunlavinbab
Dingle, Ireland3 contributions1 helpful vote
Hi. Our house is approximately 10-15 minutes walk to the centre of town depending obviously on how quickly you walk. It is quite beautiful offering lovely views of the bays and harbour area. Most of the walk has footpaths and street lighting but the last 500m does not. If our guests do not wish to drive in to town we generally can offer a lift and they get a taxi back
