Myself and my fiancé arrived to Dingle with plans to camp however there was a turn in the weather so we had a last minute scramble to find a room . Thankfully we arrived to Emlagh which had one room free. Peggy the front of house was FANTASTIC. Nothing was too much trouble , she was so accommodating. Our room was grand, spacious and very clean. The breakfast included was lovely and that evening Peggy provided us with ice and a bucket so we could have some wine while we got ready. The location was super , 5 min walk to the town centre restaurants and bars. The house was grand , clean and had everything you need. Would definitely recommend and will be back if ever visiting dingle again!
Thanks to Susan for making our two night stay in Dingle this weekend so special. Enjoying a delicious made-to-order breakfast while watching the Bay and the sheep and cows was idyllic. Our room was very large with tall windows and another beautiful view. The bathroom was also very large and up to date with heated floors and towel rack. The sitting room was a welcome spot in the afternoon after touring the stunning Slea Head Drive, with tea, coffee and cakes out all the time. And some of the restaurants in Ireland were just a short walk into the town. All the convenience of a town inn, but with a quieter location to retreat to at the end of the evening.
We were here for two nights, and we had a lovely large room. The bathroom was huge and had a heated floor and towel rack. The couch in the room was rather shabby, but with two chairs and a comfortable bed we did not need to try it. We ordered our cooked breakfast the night before since we there were 14 of us - which made breakfast in the morning quick. The hotel is a very short walk to the town, and was close to our walk to Hussy's Folly.
Our group arrived and were immediately welcomed by Susie. Our rooms were identified by names of flowers (great idea) and directed to the location of our rooms. My room was gorgeous with a beautiful view. Everything about the Emlag House felt like a first rate hotel. For our breakfast we ordered the night before and the food was delicious. Also it was the only hotel/house which had a special tea set up in a drawing room. You could relax, enjoy the quiet and enjoy goodies and tea. Susie worked very hard to make us feel welcome. This is a great place to stay in Dingle. It is very close to town so walking is easy. I recommend Emlagh to everyone who is looking for a wonderful place while enjoying a vacation in Dingle.
Emlagh House is a perfect setting from which to explore the incredible Dingle Peninsula and Dingle Town. Our room and bath were large and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was superb. Peggy was so helpful in recommending dining spots (both The Chart House and The Fish Box were great!)
