Detailed Reviews
My cousin & friend & I were lucky enough to find the sweet spot that is The Grapevine Hostel before our trip!
It has everything you could need & want ... our room was clean & the kitchen has pretty much every utensil/pot/pan you could need to make a nice recipe (in case you need a change from the amazing food around Dingle).
You are merely metres away from several pubs & shops like Lidl or Centra & I also recommend visiting Pig&Leaf (a coffee shop up the road from the hostel if caffeinated mornings are your thing)
Last but definitely not least were the amazing people... Alexandre and Julius were super chill & welcoming - you'll be in good hands :)

I stayed here with a group of friends on a weekend trip in October to Dingle and although we only stayed here for one night on the trip it was very welcoming and a cozy atmosphere. It made me like hostels and felt more like I was staying at a B&B instead of a hostel. Although we had 4 sets of bunk beds in our room for 7 people and our own bathroom, it was very spacious and is in a quiet area of town. Enjoyed the stay and is in a perfect location for exploring the rest of Dingle and hikers looking just for a place to sleep at the end of the day.

Situated in the centre of Dingle town. Clean and basic accomodation. Very relaxing and welcoming place. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the area too. A light breakfast is provided with free tea and coffee too. Full cooking facilities there too if that’s your thing

I stayed at the Grapevine for four nights in August 2023 and I loved this hostel! The location is perfect (and quiet, even though very close to many cool pubs). The hostel has a fully functional kitchen and breakfast is included. There is also a dining room and a living room where you can rest and chat with other travellers. The staff was fantastic, friendly and always helpful - thanks Luisa and Debbie!

From the moment I booked things went smoothly. I emailed to confirm my registration and that was perfect.
I was greater on arrival and given a tour to make sure I knew all the ins and outs. Everyone was friendly and helpful with places to eat , activities, live music and even forgotten items that u may need. It was my first experience in a hostel and the combination of others that stayed there and the staff I don’t know that I would ever book a hotel again. I give compliment in large part to Ondrej , Carl and Phoebe that were so nice and accommodating. Thank u for a great stay and look fwd to another.

Had a great time at the hostel recently . Managed by Julius and his team including John and Chloe . Prime location within Dingle . Very comfortable rooms and parking available further down the road . Met some great people while there and the kitchen and dining area was first class . If in Dingle , don’t hesitate to stay there , its great value given the facilities and the location in the town centre . Lidl is just a few hundred metres up the road as well.

Best value for money in Dingle. Lovely staff and familiar environment. Julius puts a lot of effort in welcoming guests! Great location, just a few steps from the city centre and sea view. Slea Head is our favourite spot in Ireland!

Loved our stay in this bright, airy hostel. Has a great common room (with fire place), kitchen (with fridges and stoves), and eating area. The bunk beds in our room were full sized single beds. Very nice bathroom en-suite as well.
The only downside was that during our stay there were also bongo drum enthusiasts in residence... they gave the hostel a slight air of hippy-ness.
Otherwise our stay was great! Great location, good rates, kind and helpful staff! Would stay again in a heartbeat.

My daughter and I stayed in the Grapevine for three nights during the 'Festival of Lights' and 'Other Voices' November 2011. The hostel was very welcoming, warm, homey, clean, bright and comfortable. The kitchen was well kitted out with everything you could wish for - very large stove oven, electric oven, microwave, and all the usual cutlery and crocery. The dining area was clean, spacious yet homey. My daughter and I took a double room with ensuite @ €24 per person per night (the most expensive rate in the hostel and worth every cent). There were also dorm rooms which were very clean and neat looking. There is a walled courtyard out the back with a table and chairs and I saw a barbeque too. (being November it was not the time to try it out!) The owner, Siobhan, and her assistant Johnny are very friendly, efficient, helpful, cheerful, fun, kind and knowledgeable. And the best thing - The Grapevine is only ten steps from the main street and all the wonderful pubs where you will find wonderful music sessions! The people of Dingle are also friendly - there is a lovely atmosphere in the town. There are lots of modern and traditional art shops and venues, which Siobhan or Johnny can direct you to. Horse riding can be arranged by Siobhan too. We only had four days there but we didn't want to leave. We will be back every chance we get. If you aren't sure of where to visit in Ireland, Dingle and the Grapevine should be on your list. So many people have visited only to return home, pack up and move there! Now you couldn't get a higher recommendation than that! And yet the native Dingle people, like Siobhan and Johnny, have kept the true Irish character of Dingle very much alive.

The Grapevine Hostel is located just near the Main Street, and although it might not seem exceptional from the outside, it is another story when you step in! And once you'd met Cole, it'll be all good!
Be relaxed, enjoy the fireplace and do not forget to use the fantastic oven!
