Detailed Reviews
I stayed here with my husband while we hiked the Dingle Way. We enjoyed staying here and thought our room was clean and comfortable. We also liked our large bathroom. (A nice surprise as an American traveling in Europe.) Breakfast was yummy and I really enjoyed the location of this property. It was just a short walk to the heart of the city where there are plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. I thought John - the owner - and his wife were extremely friendly and I am glad we were able to give them our business.

John & Eileen are wonderful people! Let him tell you some stories, especially about Fungie! The b&b is in the perfect area, close to everything, great breakfast, great rooms, and great price. I would go out of my way to stay here again!!

If you are looking for a well priced, good value B&B, in a central location, but not on a central street in the town, then this place is a very good option. I stayed with my wife as we went to a wedding in the nearby hotel. It was a 3 minute walk to the church and to the centre of Dingle, and a 5 minute walk to the hotel. It's very central, but because it isn't on a main street or main road, it's not noisy at all. John and Eileen were very nice hosts who were very helpful and welcoming - a proper B&B!

John and Eileen Brosnan are the absolute best hosts! Their establishment is cozy, comfortable, and sits on the edge of the hustle and bustle of Dingle, allowing guests the convenience of town life and yet quiet and peacefulness. The hosts' consciousness to detail is of the highest quality.

Though I'm quite tardy in writing this review, we had a lovely visit at Brosnan's in May 2013. The room was clean and comfortable and had plenty of space for re-packing preparation for our Dingle Peninsula walk. John Brosnan was tremendously kind, taking us to view some places special to him and giving us a lift to a more gentle starting place for our walk. He shared his amazing story freely and we felt so blessed by our time with him. One of our most memorable days in the Dingle. Thank you John, the gift of your sharing is with us still!

The good - Brosnans is located in a perfect location near the centre of Dingle but on a quiet road away from the town centre main roads. There is allocated parking which is really handy. It is very modern, clean and spacious. It has a nice lounge with a large tv if you want to spend time away from your room. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is spot on and there is free wifi.
The Bad - we were given room 1 on the groundfloor. It was really nice but it was right next to the kitchen and breakfast room. At 7am mysrlf and girlfriend were woken by breakfast being prepared and other guests talking in the breakfast room. Also all the floors are laminated and as soon as the guests in the room awoke and started walking about it created alot of noise. I admit i am a light sleeper but if you are the same as me get a room upstairs.
All in all it is a lovely place with very friendly owners but if the place is full expect quite a bit of noise. I think with carpets the place would be perfect.

I stayed here for two nights with two friends, it was a lovely b&b in a great location, a short walk into the centre of Dingle. The owners were so nice, helpful and easy going. I wouldn't normally post reviews but this was so nice I had to.

The location is fantastic. Parking is a bit of a joke up beside the house on a grass verge. Don't take downstairs room you can practically hear the other guests chewing their breakfast.
We had to ask for towels & were told "oh i have to go upstairs for them now".....
One roll of toilet paper-we daren't ask for another as you had to knock on kitchen door-like begging!
John serves breakfast, you are offered choice of cereals which he brings in teeny weeny bowls, puts glass of OJ in front of you & just landed 'full irish' in front of us each morning!!! Not given any choice. Breakfast was dead boring-no pudding/bean/mushroom....
We had to ask for more toast & tea which we hated in small dining room & everyone able to hear your every word... a radio in there would be a suggestion??
Eileen offered more toast (which was stone cold & clearly came back off another table) which she took from basket in her hand & put it into ours on table!!! Don't like my food being handled so that wasn't eaten. On 2nd morning she cut crust off heels of bread & gave them to us half toasted.
tiny square of butter on table & had to ask for more each morning. They could be more generous really & truly.
The noise from the kitchen was UNREAL!! You wouldn't hear it in a hotel at a wedding!! I kinda got impression there is no dishwasher either as she was always washing & drying dishes but i wouldn't swear to this.
Location is ideal i have to say that.....

The location of Brosnan's is easily within walking distance of everything in town and very close to the local laundry if you have a need to have some things washed. The common room was really roomy - we used it one afternoon after getting soaked walking around the town in the rain - it was nice to sit in this room rather than our bedroom. Regarding comments on how welcoming the hosts are - we were not at this venue to visit with the hosts - we just needed a place to stay for a couple of days, so we weren't put off at all by our hosts. The breakfast was terrific - very hearty. Bathroom was modern and a nice size. We would stay again.

We stayed at the Brosnan's B&B before hiking the Dingle Way. It is well-situated within easy walking distance of Dingle Harbor and the many fine pubs and seafood restaurants on the main street. Despite its relatively close proximity to all of that, it was quiet at night and the room and breakfast were superb! The hosts gave great advice on the pubs to visit and the best places to eat.
