We stayed at Brosnan's during our walk of the Dingle Way. Melanie made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. It was fun staying with her during the GAA football final between Kerry and Dublin. We enjoyed sitting in the comfortable living room watching the match play out. Even though Kerry didn't win, Melanie was ever cheerful and gave us all types of information we needed to make our stay in Dingle special. This property is located very close to the center of town and offers easy access to just about anything you would want to do in Dingle. We enjoyed walking into town for meals, to attend Mass, and to spend time in one of the many venues for traditional Irish music. Melanie also recommended that we walk out to the Dingle lighthouse which we thoroughly enjoyed.…
The Brosnans’ are delightful hosts. We felt at home right away. John & Madeline were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were a nice size and the en-suites were comfortable as well. They had a dresser and nightstands, hairdryer and tea set up in the room (greatly appreciated in the AM). One small thing missing was a shelf in the shower to put your little shampoo etc on. But an easy work around for most. The breakfast was great! Your choice of full Irish or continental & plenty of tea, coffee and Irish brown bread. The location is ideal- close to the Marina & downtown area. We were there the weekend of the marathon so it was busy. Reservations are needed for the restaurants. We would highly recommend the Brosnams’ B & B.
Kudos to Melanie! She was so welcoming and friendly to two weary travelers who arrived in Shannon at 0630, cabbed to Dingle Town and arrived at Brosnan’s at around 0930. We thought there was little chance of arriving that early but thought perhaps we could drop off luggage at least. Melanie couldn’t have been nicer and in fact let us into our room right away for a much needed nap. John was also gracious and helpful. Well done! J&A Lyons
We stayed at the Brosnans' B&B for four nights in July. Melanie and John made us feel welcome and at home. Each morning Melanie welcomed us in the breakfast room with a big smile and a question of "what we would like for breakfast". The breakfasts were yummy and hearty giving us energy for a full day of hiking. The room on the second floor was spacious and well equipped. Both Melanie and John are great to talk to with lots of knowledge about the town and advice about the area. The B&B is on a quiet street, so there is never any noise from outside. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer.
My wife and I stayed here as part of a Hillwalk Tours package for the Dingle Way. The room was excellent, the bathroom was amazing, and the proximity to the Dingle Way and downtown Dingle made this a great location. In addition, the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Be sure you ask about the sturgeon story... We highly recommend this B&B!
The room, house and surroundings are very clean. The rooms are comfortable. It was such a cozy experience for our 15th Anniversary! We would recommend staying here to anyone. Breakfast was tasty and the owner was so accommodating for my dietary needs.
Can I give more than five stars? I stayed at this B&B during what was supposed to be a hiking trip along the Dingle Way. Unfortunately, I ended up injuring my ankle on the way to Dingle. Melanie and John and everyone at Brosnans' were incredible. They took me to the local clinic, and then made sure I got to the hospital, John even called check on me that evening. I was traveling alone and they took me in hand made sure I was taken care of. I was taken care of like family. And this was on top of a large, comfortable room with beautiful views and a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.
Brosnans' was one of the B&Bs we were guests of as part of Hillwalk Tours. Melanie warmly greeted us and John is a character, entertaining with a story or a joke while serving breakfast in the morning. What a great way to start our day. Our room was very spacious, more than we actually needed. The B&B is located near the water and an easy walk to everything.
Staying at Brosnan’s was one of the high points of our trip. John and his daughter Melanie made us feel like family. And be sure to ask John to relate his “fish story.” The comfortable house is just a few blocks from everything in Dingle and breakfast is delicious.
We stayed here on our first night of our Dingle Way Hike. It is on a quiet street, but very walkable to everything Dingle has to offer. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was in very nice condition and the living area was also excellent. Melanie greeted us when we arrived, answered all our questions we had and gave us suggestions for dinner, shopping and pubs. She was wonderful! She also made an outstanding breakfast the next morning before we left. John was also in and out answering questions and conversing with all the guests. It was one of 8 Bed and Breakfasts that we were guests in as part of Hillwalk Tours hiking the Dingle Way and was definitely one of the better ones. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
