Thank you to all the staff for ensuring we had a wonderful stay. We were travelling with an assistant dog who was in training and they went out of their way to ensure that both ourselves and Polly the poodle were made feel so welcome. We had a lovely room with direct access to a court yard for Polly. It was a great base to explore the area. Hotel is in an ideal location over looking the bay and within easy walking distance of Dingle Village
The hotel is average at best. Nowhere in the gallery does it have a picture of a bathroom with a plastic shower curtain. The reception and hotel generally is 3 star at 4.5 star prices. The hotel sells itself as the best in the region, this may very well be, but the price of a room far less reflects same.
All staff at the Dingle Skellig were extremely accommodating and went the extra mile as we were here for our wedding with friends and family. Even though my wedding was not at the hotel, we still had an amazing dinner reception and wedding celebration at the hotel that evening. Our reception was at the Coast Guard restaurant inside the hotel, with perfect views overlooking the bay. A special thank you to Miriam Ferriter (the Marketing/Sales Director) for all the communication while planning this trip from the states, ensuring our stay was nothing short of amazing, and for the upgraded presidential suite. We hope to visit again one day!
Our tour booked this hotel for us and we stayed 2 nights. It was clean and comfortable, and only about a ten-minute walk from town. The patios outside would have been very nice if it hadn’t been raining. I prefer the older places, and especially the family-run places, but this would be an excellent spot for a business trip or corporate conference.
Great hotel with wonderful views and friendly staff who are plesant and attentive. Rooms are large and well appointed. Breakfast is good. Restaurant tends to get a bit crowded with the tour groups. Would give 5 but for the small inconvenience of a bad smell emanating from the toilets during our two night stay. Hotel is neatly tucked away but within walking distance of the main streets.
A large hotel with many interesting lounges and corners that have lovely views of the sea. The rooms were well done up large and bright. The bathroom was big too. Only complaint was that it had an odd smell. Staff were friendly and helpful. Laundry was reasonably priced. Very close to town Center. Parking is free.
My husband and I had been looking forward to this trip to Ireland for 2 years, since the pandemic forced cancellation of our original trip, a milestone birthday celebration, scheduled in 2020. During that delay, we imagined the visit becoming the best of our dreams of Ireland . That it was exactly that is fundamentally due to our stay at the Dingle Skellig Hotel. We arrived at the hotel ridiculously early from our flight from JFK to Shannon and were immediately welcomed by Karen who totally surprised us with news that our room was ready. Kirsten and the team had made great efforts to make this welcoming gesture possible. Kirsten then sent up "belated birthday" chocolates to our room. Talk about feeling welcome and taken care of! This warmth, enthusiasm, energy and attention to details seemed to permeate all of the Skellig's staff. Our room was extremely comfortable , feeling both elegant as we watched sunsets over Dingle Bay and the Kerry Hills from our full glass bay window, sipping sparkling water from the refrigerator or wine, and like home away from home with comfortable back supportive furniture (bed, sofa, chairs), and a sparkling fully stocked bath with a dual control rain fall shower (actually better than home! :-) The restaurants were wonderful - they have an excellent kitchen. The dishes were delicious and the service was attentive, friendly and efficient, even when they were managing two weddings over the weekend we were there. Quite impressive. Jurgita, who was hostess in the Coast Guard Restaurant the night we designated as our birthday celebration dinner surprised us by seating us in the "best table in the restaurant" (which it was), bringing our dessert with birthday candles on each, and then graciously taking beautiful pictures of us out on the patio. On another evening Mr. Fitzgerald, the GM, totally surprised us with a complimentary bottle of wine with our dinner. This is a beautiful hotel in a breathtakinly beautiful setting with extremely comfortable rooms and excellent restaurants. But what makes it special most of all are the warm, welcoming, helpful staff. They take everything up a notch with their enthusiasm and unfailing effort to make your stay everything you hope for. We can't thank them enough!…
We had our Wedding in the Dingle Skellig Hotel & from start to finish it was the best experience in a Hotel we've ever had. The staff were amazing. They couldn't do more for us with no task too trivial. They were great with our two kids & everyone was just so welcoming. The location is ideal, just a stones through from Dingle Town with the most superb views of Dingle Bay. We stayed in the presidential suite for 4 nights and it was exquisite, with some of the most amazing views I've ever seen. The food was incredible with all the wedding guests commenting (repeatedly) on how delicious it was. The kids loved the amenities & especially the pool! All in all it was a brilliant experience, one we won't forget quickly. "If I could give it 6 stars I would" as said by our 9 year old.…
Just spent a lovely weekend in Dingle! The hotel is great. Had a fab room which was spotless with a very comfy large bed. Views from the dining room were amazing. But it's the staff I need to mention. So friendly and helpful! Especially Kay in reception and Anton and Carlos in the bar! Highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely be back
