We received a warm welcome on arrival from Helen which continued right up to and including our departure. Our room, number 4 was upstairs with a view of the golf course which backed onto the property. The room was spacious and the ensuite was modern and sparkling clean. Breakfast was plentiful, using quality produce and was exceptionally cooked and presented.... More

Room was clean and spacious and had a nice bathroom with a larger than average shower for Irish standards. Very easy drive to town and a great starting point for the Ring of Kerry. Would have loved to sit with Helen and hear more about the area, but the accommodations were great.

We stayed at this bed-and-breakfast in early April for one night, but I wish we would have stayed longer. Helen was very helpful, the room was very clean, and breakfast was the best we had during the week we spent in Ireland. I highly recommend staying here, and I would certainly choose this bed-and-breakfast again.

Oldchurch House B&B was very clean! The room was very nice. It is a little far from the town of Kenmare, but very easy to drive in to the center of town. It is a great location to start the Ring of Kerry from. Helen was a great hostess and served a wonderful breakfast.

The location was wonderful. It is nearby the city center but in the same time it is private and quiet. You can go into town to have dinner and then the walk back is exactly what you need after dinner. The host was very friendly and helpful but in the same time she was intrusive and she respected our privacy.... More

The first day in Ireland is always difficult - so tired and cranky when you finally arrive at your lodging place. Helen welcomed us warmly and helped us settle down. Her home is clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was perfect, and Helen and Frank got us started off on the right foot. Kenmare is utterly charming - we... More

We stayed here on our way to The Ring of Kerry. Very nice place. It is placed on the edge of the town and is about a 15 minute walk to town. Room was very nice and the hosts were great in advising us where to eat etc..

My first visit to Ireland for a little while and Helen and Frank couldn't have been more welcoming to me and my friends. I have stayed here before (4 or 5 times) and it was lovely to be back and in "my" room. Thank you for looking after us so well and thank you for my star (now on my... More

Have just spent another enjoyable weekend stay at Oldchurch House with a group of friends. We are regular visitors and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Kenmare. As I said in an earlier review, it really is our Irish home from home. Hosts Helen and Frank provide the warmest of welcomes and whenever we leave we are already thinking... More

We stayed a night along with friends of ours. We were greeted by Frank who kindly changed our room at the last minute to accommodate my request for a bed without a footboard (I am 6' 5" tall). Frank was wonderful and humorous. When Helen came home, we found a hostess who loves to do exactly what she is doing:... More
