My wife and I spent three nights at Mary's placed it was our favourite of all the places we stayed during our couple of weeks in Ireland. Mary was super friendly and helpful, suggesting a range of things we could do in and around Kenmare. Breakfast had excellent variety and hot breakfast was cooked to order. The room was airy, spacious and super clean. Pubs were only a short walk away. Kenmare was also a great base to do a day trip to Killarney.

This is a great B&B, well located a short walk from the center of Kenmare which is a great alternative to the more crowded and touristy Killarney. Clean and comfy and welcoming, with delicious and varied options for breakfast. Mary is the most friendly and helpful host; really a great place to stay.

My husband and I just returned from our fabulous two week visit to Ireland. Our favorite stay was at Ashfield B&B. Mary was so very welcoming and fun to talk to. She gave us great suggestions on where to go and sites to see. Her husband, Paul, was a delight as well. He even invited us to come listen to him play music at a pub one night which we did and thoroughly enjoyed! It was one of the highlights of our trip. The room was perfect – lots of places to set our things (especially in bathroom), well-equipped, light, bright, and airy. The bathroom was the best one we experienced the entire trip (we had struggled with a couple of showers!). Everything was spotlessly clean. We loved having tea available, and a beautiful little sitting area in our room where we could quietly read and look out over a soccer field. The breakfasts were delicious (I even tried to replicate Mary’s delicious omelet at home with not much luck-guess I need to go back). There was a large selection of cereal, fresh fruits and juices and a made to order meal. Our visit truly felt like we were guests in her home and several times throughout the rest of our trip we said we wished we could go back to Kenmare and Ashfield. Highly recommend and hope to be able to visit again soon

I recently stayed in this accomodation with some American relations who had never before stayed in a bed and breakfast. We were all so impressed with this one which is located near Kenmare town in a quiet scenic location. The house was spotless throughout, the beds comfortable and the rooms and ensuites well appointed. Breakfast was freshly made - an excellant choice of dishes and everything beautifully presented. Hopefully I can stay here when next in Kenmare

Planned a short trip to Kenmare as my partner had never been. Ashfield offered good value at €85 a night B&B for 3 nights for the two of us. Ashfield though really exceeded our expectations. Firstly both Mary and Paul were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you. The B&B was ideally placed being just outside of town - so no nighttime noise at all - but less than a 10 minutes walk into town….which meant we got great use of the excellent bars and restaurants in town. The room was spotlessly clean, had an excellent bathroom and shower, and a very comfy bed. There are tea and coffee making facilities as well as a hairdryer in the room. Breakfast was ordered the night before and was ready very quickly once you appeared in the dining room. And, as said earlier, the whole place was spotlessly clean. We’re really looking forward to going again and will not hesitate to stay with our excellent hosts once more.

My wife and I traveled from the garden County and spent two nights in May at Mary and Paul's lovely Ashfield B&B while visiting Kenmare for the Ring Of Beara cycle and can't recommend staying here highly enough. Rooms were spotless, breakfast was beautiful and the location is excellent, about ten minutes walk into Kenmare town. Both Mary and Paul made us feel very welcome and we would highly recommend Ashfield B&B. Mick and Cathy Forde

Mary is absolutely lovely. Her French toast was terrific. Enjoyed her conversation and Irish kindness. My wife and I love watching the kids nearby practicing Gaelic Football. The surroundings were quite peaceful and an easy walk to town.
