Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in one of the holiday homes for 2 nights and would happily recommend it to others.
We had previously stayed in the hotel and had a pleasant stay there too.

The houses are spacious with 3 bedrooms and enough space for 6 adults including the sofa beds.
There are well maintained and very clean.

It’s a short walk from kenmare and there is a path to follow.

As we are staying with a toddler we requested a cot. They also provide a high chair without us asking :).
Plus when we got there they asked if we needed stairs guards, which we did and was fitted within minutes of arrival.
Thought the excellent staff provided a great service.

One other item for those with children is that they are chain locks on the windows.

Perhaps a suggested safety improvement is that the curtains have a string loop when drawn and those should be altered.

We didn’t use the facilities with the exception of the playground, which is probably better suited to older children.

Pretty much Everything is provided for Cooking, we need find the oven a little underpowered.

Overall a great stay, thanks to the staff again.

Five families stayed in the Executive Lodges for quest 2020 (second year running) and like last year we were not disappointed. Home away from home . Well done to all the houses are of a very high standard and have everything a family would want .

We booked a luxury lodge for our family holiday last year and with all happening this year we decided to play it safe and return. Sabrina was great and very reassuring when I was booking. Last year we stay in the single storey luxury lodge and this year we stayed in the two storey luxury lodges. Fabulous space with everything you need. Being able to use the facilities again really makes it. You need to book your gym sessions and kids can go into the pool from 10am, all brilliant. So close to the town. Definitely recommend for a family trip

We had a family get together in the Kenmare Bay Hotel. Some of our family stayed in the hotel and myself and my husband stayed in a Lodge in the grounds. We all had a fabulous stay - the Lodge was spacious and comfortable and the hotel rooms were lovely. The hotel was really set up for kids with a playroom a teen hangout room and a kids corner in the dining room. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room were spotlessly clean and the pool was the perfect temperate. All the staff are very helpful and friendly throughout the hotel, particularly Deirdre and Shirley in the Leisure Centre.

Stayed with family in one of the single storey lodges - hoping that previous years constructive feedback would be actioned. Unfortunately, still experienced the same outstanding issues. Not worthy of the luxury tag or price!

Today returned for lunch and it was so inviting. Met with nice lady who asked for our certificates and telephone number. The lunch was so good too i had beef platter and my sister had chicken and leek pie. Presentation first class as was the service from our young man. Thank you for making our day special again. This day will not be relived for a few months as roadworks commence on ring of kerry from 24th November to 16th March. So will be back in March Susan and Cindy Browne

The holiday homes are excellent. Kris left the key out for us and we were so comfortable and happy in the house. It was huge and there were 8 of us. It had everything you could need and was lovely and warm and plenty of hot water. The beds were so comfy and plenty of pillows. The house is only a few minutes walk from the town but the hotel itself did gorgeous food and lots of other places to eat and drink nearby. Used the swimming pool every day in the hotel aswell. The biggest thing was the cleanliness. The house was absolutely spotless and huge credit to the cleaning team. Highly recommend. Audrey

Hotel is in a great location, they have a short walk into the town. The rooms are fine, basic but have everything you need. The reception staff were great, all very friendly. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on that but I would stay here again.

We stayed as a family in one of their 4 star onsite self-catering houses , they also have an offsite 4 star accommodation which is not quite yet up to expectation but over all we have to say it was a wonderful place to visit during the holiday with very well run kids club, to the food and bar , the staff wore so helpful to make your visit to and a place to come back to everybody from the front of house to the duty managers wore a delight to deal with, this is a place that we will come again and again well done to all the girls at the hotel that made out stay a delight

Hi what kind of cots are available please? are they travel cots or can you get a wooden cot?

Hello, Thank you for your question. We have travel cots available in all the lodges / holiday homes.

We had a two storey lodge and I would think that this would be best for a group of 4 adults and one child. Any early riser or person going to bed late will have more freedom to make noise than if the bedrooms are right beside the open-plan living-dining room.

Towels are included in the lodges: to all effects it is a hotel so it has soaps, shampoos, towels, etc. Everything you would get in a hotel.
