Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My stay in the Abbey Court is a reminder what true customer service is all about. The people running it really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and Geraldine is a one-woman Kerry tourist board information point. Upon arrival, she very kindly served us tea out on the patio, with the fabulous view over the water. The room was comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was really good too, the brown bread in particular, I couldn't stop eating it.

At at time when I'd heard horror stories of accommodation prices soaring to crazy levels, it was wonderful to discover people offering excellent value for an outstanding service. If I'm in the Kenmare area again, this will be my first choice of where to stay.

We stayed here this week with our daughter and son-in-law and it was just so fantastic. Brandon, Ger and Niamh were so welcoming. Upon arrival Niamh brought us tea in the garden overlooking the water, Brendan gave us a drive into town and also dried some of our washing after a hike, Breakfast options suit everyone's taste from fresh fruit salad, pancakes, full Irish and smoked salmon...yum.
Great value too, we booked direct over the phone and got excellent rates.
we'll be back.

My husband and I spent three nights at Abbey Court Bed and Breakfast while visiting Kenmare, Killarney National Park and Garnish Island. Our double room on the second floor was clean and comfortable. We had a nice view of Kenmare Bay. The B & B is in a quiet location, back from the road, at the end of a long driveway. There is plenty of on site parking. The location is on the Ring of Kerry, with easy access as well as within walking distance to the village of Kenmare. Breakfast offers a buffet of yogurt, cereal and fruit with several cooked choices. I especially enjoyed the crepes. Brendan and Geraldine were excellent hosts. Geraldine offered advice on places to wat and things to see. She was able to provide directions for a scenic route to our next destination. Finally Abbey Court was an excellent value.

Exceptional experience, friendly innkeepers and an at-home atmosphere that I would do again without question. Breakfast was exceptional every morning and the location served well for both in town access and the surrounding area exploration that couldn't have been better. Recommendations on favorite places to go and explore took into account my interests and desires in photography and dining. Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived, bedraggled & fatigued after summiting Skellig Michael, we were welcomed with warmth, kindness and congeniality, and a cold pint of Guinness. The owners couldn't have been more patient, helpful and well-informed on the local culture/cuisine/attractions, they also radiate a sense of serenity that helps everyone who interacts then also decompress and feel more at peace. And come Monday morning as I caught up on work, pondering the stunning views of the Kenmore River from their Sun Room, Brendan checked in on me to see if I needed a pot of tea or caffeine during the "work" day - unheard of in most B&B's where mid-day needs are considered a nuisance rather than a kind offering.
We were so happy with the 2nd floor sitting room and the outdoors garden sitting/viewing options, we decided to extend our stay! My husband & I were very pleased we had uncovered this charming gem, and rest assured we know where our fave B&B will be on our future trips to Kenmare.

We enjoyed a night recently at this B&B , very warm welcome and recommendations for dinner, drinks and local walks. Great location, short walk to town. Delicious breakfast - good choice, large portions. Room a good size. Lovely views from the back of the building

This bed and breakfast does not include...breakfast - you will be charged more- be warned! The rooms are very small, we had no hot water in the evenings and the tiny windowless bathroom did not even have a fan. No credit card accepted - only cash (we found out only upon arrival) and no receipt of any kind given, despite asking (we needed a VAT number but they couldn't provide one,). There are plenty of other B&Bs in the area to explore!

This was my fourth stay with Brendan and Geraldine in 10+ years and it was just as fantastic as always. The location is perfect to leave your car and walk into the village. The house itself is spacious with plenty of spots to sit both inside and out to enjoy the beautiful view. The bed was super comfortable, the water was hot and had excellent pressure, and the room was impeccably clean. We will of course be back!

I had an excellent 3 night stay in the two bedroom self catering apartment while attending a wedding in Kenmare.

The apartment is clean, comfortable, spacious and fully equipped. It was perfect for my needs.

Brendan and Geraldine were excellent hosts. Everything ran smoothly during the booking process, and they were helpful and available (without being intrusive) during my stay
