We stayed in this Hotel for a couple of nights at the end of August. Padraig welcomed us warmly. We were a little early to check in so we had a bowl of the most delicious Sea Food Chowder for lunch, sitting out in the sun on the street.
Our bedroom was huge and it had a colossal bathroom, everything was there, Tea & Coffee making facilities, and all the lovely bits and pieces in the bathroom and a really comfy bed.
Breakfast was very good, of course right now there are no Buffet meals owing to the Covid 19 crisis. Our breakfast was served to us at the table and it was very good all served with lovely fresh brown soda bread.
We had one evening meal which, again was really excellent, good choice and good quality. There was a great buzz in the dining room with I’d guess a number of locals dining which is always a good sign.
Padraig and his sister Siobhan have an excellent Covid 19 policy in place and the whole place is scrupulously clean. We were really impressed too with the bar which had transparent Perspex screens hanging from unit above, they were so clean and transparent you had to do a double take to see if they were there at all!!
The payment system is a kind of pay as you go. So, if you have a drink or meal you settle up at the end of it, which makes for no shock on check out!!
Only one minor suggestion, I circular towel holder put on front of the large washing area in bathroom would be very useful.
We will most definitely be back…..who needs The Sheen Falls!!

We chose Coachmans for a 2 night staycation in Co Kerry, having previously stayed there in 2015 with a Vagabond tour and remembered it to be good small hotel in the city centre. Now that we live in Ireland, we picked it again.

Rooms are a good size, clean, and furniture/fixtures are not worn. Location is walking distance to everything in the small town. Street parking. Several breakfast options, with tables spaced for Covid distancing. We also enjoyed a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant the first night. It wasn't crowded but the weather was terrible that evening.

Only "nit" was not providing any body soap/body wash, hair conditioner, or lotion. We were provided two small bottles marked Shampoo. When I asked about soap or body wash, they said the Shampoo bottles is all they offered and it was all purpose for washing too.

We would return again if we are staying in the area. If you aren't looking for fancy or loads of services, I would recommend for a clean comfortable stay at good value in a great location.

Had not booked in advance but were delighted a room was available when we called in to check. Nice room with everything you would need. Breakfast was served from 8.30 am and was lovely. Breakfast was served to the table - fresh fruit salad with greek yogurt was gorgeous. Choice of cereals, yogurts, juices and hot food -freshly cooked.

Great central location and would have no hesitation recommending or staying again.

Nice bar and restaurant area. All covid procedures in place.

The food was disgusting, I ordered the curry and it was not palatable. The burger looked like it came from a kids play centre.

Stay away if you’d like normal bowel movements. The staff hadn’t a clue and kept forgetting to bring things to the table.

The welcome was very warm. The room was spacious and decor warm. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Good bathroom with plenty of hot water on demand. The room had everything one requires on vacation, kettle and facilities to make tea/ coffee. Ironing board and iron. WiFi , T.V. And plenty of wardrobe space etc.
a very large choice for breakfast which could be mixed to your requirements.Staff were very quick with orders and very pleasant. As a solo traveller the owner Siobhan made me feel at home and I felt as such. The evening meals had a good choice to suit all palates and was both very tasty and wholesome.
There was excellent entertainment by local musicians every evening playing traditional music and ballads. I even mentioned that I play concertina ( which I had with me ) and all the musicians invited me to join in.
I made a lot of new friends.
The bar/ dining area was modern in a lovely light oak finish and they had a huge range of beverage to chose from.
I’ve often envied friends who had holiday homes in scenic Ireland but not any more.
This is your home from home without the worry of maintenance.

Kenmare is an excellent wee Village with several Fantastic Pubs / Hotels available. Our stay at The Coachman's was superb. We were welcomed to The Coachman's and Kenmare by the guy checking us in for our 2 night stay, advised that all parking in the village was Free and the musical entertainment provided at the venue for our 2 nigh stay. All sounded great. The evening meal was excellent with exceptional service at a really competitive price. Our room (24) was really spacious comprising of two double beds and a couch with all the usual coffee/tea/TV/Iron/hairdryer available. Nice bathroom which seemed to have underfloor heating, really more than I expected for the price. Breakfast was served in bar and it was a breakfast that would keep you going all day, again the service was exceptional and nothing was too much bother. We are already planning going back in October as we had such a fantastic time. Thank you all at The Coachman's for our great start to our Irish Holiday.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were happy to point out things to do (walk to the pier and out to the park) while also making sure that everything was first class for our accommodations. The breakfast that was provided was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely recommend Coachman's Townhouse to anyone visiting Kenmare

So we had a family 2 night stay and it was a fantastic holiday.
From checking in you could feel the warmth of the staff.
So welcoming and friendly.
Room itself was spotless.
Loads of room for the 4 of us.
Beds themselves were great so no complaints. Had 2 very comfortable sleeps.
Sets you up for the day ahead.
Food was lovely and very reasonably priced.
Arrived hot to the table and tasted lovely.
Breakfast perfect. Whatever you needed it was never a hassle for the staff. Always there to help.
It was like home from home.
Would highly recommend a stay here.
Not to sure you would get a better experience any where else.
Thanks a million for a great stay.

Located in downtown Kenmare, the rooms are spacious and clean with a nice restaurant on the ground floor. The staff are friendly and helpful but we found out just how exceptional they were when my sister fell and fractured her wrist. Their kindness was extraordinary and their practical advice and help made a bad situation much easier to deal with. My sister had to go to Dublin for surgery and Padraig, the owner, has been looking after her car and has even offered to drive it up to Dublin if necessary! I could not recommend this hotel and the wonderful people who work there more highly.
