My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and it ticks off all the boxes. Great location with a very short and lovley walk to the centre of town. We had a nice quiet room and breakfast was always delicious and we had the best and fresh fruit salad. Nice to sit outfront before retiring to the room. Thank you
As a couple we stayed at the Rockcrest House B&B for two nights. The B&B is tucked away on a quiet street and sits high up. There is a path over a stone bridge that takes you into Kenmare with just a 5 minute walk, so access to the village was excellent. The room was exactly as described, spacious, comfortable and quiet. The ensuite was also spacious and fully stocked. Our hosts provided a very complete breakfast of cereals, tea/coffee and cooked to order eggs. Two restaurant suggestions would be No. 35 and Mulcahy's. Both were excellent.
Our family (all adults) reserved 4 very comfortable rooms July 2-4 2022. The warmth of the owners is reflected in all the care they have for their guests and their property. Each day well rounded and delicious choices of fruit, pastries and ,of course ,the traditional full Irish breakfast started our day with the smiles of Mrs Dwyer and her daughter. All the rooms are spacious , clean and comfortable. You will be glad you stayed here to tour sw Ireland. A bonus is Rockcrest's very short and easy walk to the restaurants , pub, shops and services of Kenmare. As this was our second week of touring Europe we took the convenient opportunity to do some laundry at a laundromat in town(open 7 days a week).
We were in Kenmare June 12 for 3 nights. What a wonderful experience. The B&B sets up on a hill overlooking a rock garden. What a view from our room (room 7). The room was large and beautifully decorated with a fantastic shower. David and Marian could not have been better hosts. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. The scones were the best I've had. It was a short 5 minute walk down a lane to the city center, which was so nice. Marian gave us great recommendation for a seafood dinner, which was great. I can't recommend this B&B more.
We adored our time here. Made to order hot & cold breakfast. Excellent muesli. Outlets on both sides of the bed! Don’t miss their wedding pictures in the lounge or the seafood chowder and apple pie at The Coachman. David recommended our favorite walk in Ireland due to the rhododendron bloom. Don’t miss the old bridge, the Holy Well and the sage blossom buckets on the walk to town.
Spent one night here in a nicely renovated house. Well located. Well appointed. Parking on site. Could be a little challenging for someone with mobility issues but we were fine even though we are in our seventies and have arthritis. Breakfast was good. Very clean.
We were only able to spend 2 nights here but enjoyed our time and will be back. David and Marian were gracious hosts, happy to do everything for their guests. Rockcrest is set back out of town a pleasant and easy 5 minute walk. Spacious and clean room, great value. Made to order breakfasts were the best during our trip. Great full Irish, pancakes, brown bread.
Marian was very accommodating, friendly and kind. The room was spotlessly clean and wonderfully spacious, with a gorgeous view. Excellent location only a few minutes' walk to everything and yet you feel as though you're in the countryside. Would stay again.
Two of the nicest people (the O’Dwyers) welcomed us into their home and made us feel so comfortable during our stay. Our rooms were huge, clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. 5 minute walk into town. Breakfast was plenty and delicious! Highly recommend!!!!
Six of us traveled Ireland for al.ost 3 weeks staying in B&B's and a couple of hotels. The entire trip was great but this B&B was the highlight of all our lodgings. Not only was the place beautiful, beds comfortable and breakfast to order, the hosts were like visiting with good friends. This is a do not miss in Ireland in a lovely town.
