Silvertrees is in a good location and is in easy walking distance of Kenmare. The host is quite welcoming and helpful but after staying in numerous B&B's throughout the UK and Ireland this B&B is really not up to standard and by comparison is poor value for money. We found the bed and pillows to be particularly hard and less than comfortable. The bathroom while very clean is quite dated. The shower function is very poor and not up to the same standard as other B&B's in this price range. Breakfast was fine and parking is OK.

We stayed at Silvertrees for three nights. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful for ideas of where to go for meals , music, and sightseeing. Breakfast was great. We would stay here again and would refer to friends. Quiet neighborhood - we slept well here.

Went to Kenmare on a wimp and tried a few places on our way into the city. Found the Silvertrees to be the only one with available room for the night. Our room was nice and clean and had a big double bed, with a good mattres. (It felt relatively new and you didn't have the feeling that tons of people had used it before you). Shower was great with good pressure, the window in the bathroom was broken, but were only a problem using it at night, as the lights attrackts mosquitos and funny winged insects. Breakfast was so-so. We both had the full irish breakfast, and while it was freshmade, the puddings seemed quite sparse and it would have been nice if the host had offered us seconds. There weren't any porridge, cheese plate or salmon/ egg. The choices from the menu we had that morning was full irish breakfast, eggs (various kinds) and toast (various kinds), there were also the usual options of yogurt (the small packages you buy in the supermarket), cereals and a bowl of fruit. We asked for a second of coffee, which we got. Host was nice and we would recommend it for anyone looking for a good bed and shower. Compared to other B&B's breakfast isn't the strong point of Silvertrees, but if this doesn't matter to you, you'll be having a good time here. Location is great, as it's a quiet neighbourhood just a few minutes from town.

We booked this B&B based on the good reviews at booking.com. This B&B is a gem. The rooms are nice and cosy furnitured, Bathroom is equipped with all necessary things. Even towels were changed every day (very unusual for B&B). Breakfast was served every day fresh made by the hosts. And it was the best Irish breakfast we had during our three week trip. They also offer other options like a cheese plate, salmon and egg, porridge (with Irish Whisky), all perfect and home made as well We really enjoyed the stay and we were sorry that we had to leave after a week. The hosts gave us lots of tips for our daily trips. The B&B is located on the mainroad to Kenmare, but it is very quiet. short walk downtown to beautiful Kenmare, perfect for having a Guiness in a Pub without moving the car in the evening. We can highly recommend this B&B without any restrictions Many thanks to the hosts for their familiar hospitality
