It was a return visit to kenmare and we stayed with Mary. We had a great welcome and settled in very quickly. The holiday home we rented had just about everything. Lovely comfortable beds,and every other comfort was catered for during our stay. It's an ideal location for walks, cycling,and the wild water swimming. The restaurants and gastropubs that were open were all within walking distance. Mary is a first class host and our accomodation was ideal. The staycation experience is going to be repeated in 2021. We just hope there will be a vacancy for us.

The room was quiet and spacious, and the price was very reasonable. The bathroom is very well set up. Kenmare is one of the less touristy places along the coast, which we liked. Plenty of dining and drinking choices. Kenmare is ideally located for driving the Ring of Kerry.

Arrived to be greeted warmly by a wonderful member of staff, very clean and comfortable. It is right in kenmare town so no driving (big bonus)My husband spoke with the owner the following morning and said she was a lovely person .we will be back

We booked this hotel in July of 2022 for our May 2023 visit through their reservation portal. I received a confirmation email with a conformation number. In April I sent out emails to confirm our hotel stays in Ireland. This owner returned my email to say she rejected my reservation without any notification to us. I then find out she is housing refuges, and chose to cancel our reservation with no word to us. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Not a good business to do this to tourist!!!

Clean, spacious rooms with very handy self-catering amenities. We were a little concerned given the photos online but this Guesthouse ended up being the pick of pretty much all the hotels we stayed in on our two week vacay in Ireland. It was right in Kenmare Village and Mary the host was personable and informative. Highly recommend this little guesthouse.

A comfortable bed, a lovely shower, ample on site parking and convenient location makes this a great place to stay. What more could you ask for? We enjoyed our one night stay here and in the township of Kenmare where there are many restaurants and bars

We stayed in the cottage at Hawthorn House and loved all of the amenities and flexibility it provided. The extra space to spread out was great for our family, and is a good choice if you're looking to be able to have flexibility to stay in during your trip. We especially appreciated the laundry facilities and the location. We were able to take a quick walk (literally less that 5 min) into Kenmare to enjoy meals, shopping, and coffee. Mary was a kind and thoughtful host.

Excellent location with village accessible by walking. We shared a small room with 2 single beds x 4 nights, it was a squeeze with little space. I am disappointed we were not allocated a bigger room as there are more options.. Daily housekeeping was good and everything appeared clean if dated. Downstairs lounge was tired, old and cold. Nobody used lounge. No heating provided in room, and we had to ask for heaters to be turned on for evenings & mornings. No breakfast - dining kitchen were closed. Overall good location, could do with updating.

My wife and I stayed at PHK August 3&4, 2022 - The General Manager TJ was a delight to meet and his staff made our stay a memorable one. The food was excellent, (especially the Lamb), breakfast lovely and drinks were perfect - all was good. The Spa was very unique and we had a great body scrub. Thanks again TJ and we will return soon !

Stay in or walk out to the town. Amazing location to see Kenmare and the surrounding area. Breakfast is excellent and if you like your whiskey or whisky, John will have something for you to try. Didnt get a chance to eat in the restaurant in the evening, we ended up enjoying Kenmare's restaurants.
