Wow. This was hands down the best accommodation of this type we stayed at in Ireland (and we stayed at dozens of those between hotels, b&bs and airbnbs). I booked it quickly and without checking the photos etc because I was in a hurry so none of us knew what to expect. We were so surprised when we got there. Rosemary was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. The whole experience from start to finish was to make us feel relaxed which was very welcome after a long day on the road. As our group of 5 had two rooms on different floors we were able to use the beautiful living room to hang out after dinner, have some wine and chats. The place looks already lovely from the outside but inside it's like a palace. Lots of art, charm and character. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated with large, marble bathrooms as well. We felt like we are in a 5 star hotel! Everyone had an amazing sleep and we wish we could stay longer. The location was perfect too, very close to town centre, and the food recommendations by Rosemary were spot on especially Tom Crean nearby for fabulous breakfast! The Lodge will be on our very short list of places to visit again! Thank you :)…
Blown away with the experience. Never expected such a quality room , we ended up in the Fuchsia room, spacious and comfortable, very well decorated, cozy atmosphere, huge bathroom with a corner bath tub. Steps away to the town center. No breakfast service was the only disappointment.
Great welcome and Rosemary was most welcoming and helpful. Rooms are fabulous and clean with comfy beds. Plenty of parking and 5 mins walk to town. No breakfast at the moment due to COVID but access to the kitchen to have drinks, cereals and toast. Lounge available with bar to enjoy your own drinks. We will be back,
Stayed here for three nights in July, lovely welcome from the staff and owner. Room was clean and comfortable with a lovely four poster bed( we stayed in a room called foxglove) it's only a five minute walk from town or a cheap taxi ride if it's raining. Excellent value for money as most places in Kerry are now double the price.. definitely recommended.
We were unable to decide where to stay on driving in to town. Passed this by and was impressed. Rang directly to book and were immediately taken by how helpful the owner was. Its on a bed only basis but not only did she book us a table at one of trhe best restaurants in town buth also directed to a lunch and breakfast venues which were first rate. Room was very comfortable with all facilities Full marks to the owner.
