Shelburne Lodge was a highlight of our trip around Ireland. This beautiful historic manor house with its lovely extensive grounds is the perfect place to stay in Kenmare. And Kenmare is the perfect place to stay when enjoying your drive around the Ring of Kerry. Our family had two antique filled gorgeous rooms with beautiful garden views. The host and...

Shelburne Lodge is a real gem! The building is a very beautifully restored historic home. Bedrooms are well appointed, with comfortable beds. The grounds are large and there is seating in a beautiful garden. The proprietors, Maura and Tom, are welcoming, helpful, and very informative. Their guidance was excellent. Breakfasts were sumptuous, with a great variety of well prepared choices....

A home away from home! The warmest welcome and the best breakfast around. The kids couldn't have been happier playing in the huge surrounding gardens while picking ripe berries! Not to mention the grass tennis court. A real gem and a must visit.

We loved our time here. 2 nights in a lovely room with delicious breakfast each morning. The house is a short walk from Kenmare and set in lovely grounds. There is a large lounge area with comfy seating with plenty of local info available. Highly recommended.

This was a real find and a welcome alternative to the bustle of Killarney. Lovely house with character and elegance. The rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable - although I manged to fall out of mine - did I fall or was I pushed? Charming hosts recommended fantastic restaurant for dinner and not only did they book it for...

Stayed here for a night with the gf while touring the Ring of Kerry and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a step back in time. The lodge is apparently the oldest house in Kenmare built over 250 years ago and once you step inside it really does still have that feel to it. There is little focus on...

We stayed here 10 years ago and it was a wonderful experience then and still is today. Tom and Maura Foley are great hosts. They'll make suggestions and reservations for you. The lodge is charming, the grounds beautiful, the beds are super comfy and the breakfasts are the best we've had in Ireland. A great value overloaded with charm.

We covered a lot of territory on our recent trip to Ireland. We decided to stay 2 nights at the Shelburne Inn and we're so glad we did. The innkeepers Maura and Tom make your stay a warm and welcoming experience. We'd move in if we could... everything from our room to the delicious full Irish breakfast was so wonderful!

My family (2 adults and 2 teens) stayed here. The owners were fenomenal, they waited with tea for us upon our late arrival. We had the family room, big for all of us and it was private. The breakfast was gourmet, the best eggs Benedict. Close enough to walk to the town but far enough to be quiet. I definitely...

We stayed at Shelburne Lodge for two nights in June. We booked two rooms as we traveled with another couple. The rooms were very comfortable, the house is lovely and breakfasts were divine (especially the pancakes). Kenmare is a great little town and the hosts directed us to some wonderful restaurants. You will get lots of useful suggestions when planning...
