Amazing hospitality with delicious breakfast - just try the freshly made strawberry compote! help and advice ist always generously given. It is within walking distance of Kenmare with everything a tourist could wish for but still lovely set amids relaxing nature. Coming back to these beautifully furnished rooms makes your stay unforgettable.
Very nice House with nice people. We had a great time there and defenetly will come back. Our view in morning over a lake was stunning and the area is beautiful lots to see. The rooms are lovley furnished with a big and comfortable bed. The breakfast is fresh prepared every morning and special wishes were no problem.
We (couple) stayed for 3 nights in an amazing spacious room with really special furniture and great view on the lake and garden. Breakfast was perfect, different choices. The Hosts make this place even more comfortable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There is much to do around, the B&B is a good place to start to different trips. Could have stayed much longer.
This is a must stay if you're in the Kenmare area. This family home is stunning, and beautifully furnished. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The breakfasts were wonderful and cooked to order. Jeanie gave us so much information about the birds, the fish and life in Ireland both historically and currently. It is just a short walk into town, with a beautiful cut through that avoids the main roads. John and Jeanie are amazing hosts. They gave us fabulous recommendation, and changed the course of our trip. We ended up touring the Beara Peninsula which was amazing. And, then on the way up to Doolin we traveled through the Gap of Dunloe. It was the highlight of our trip, and we never would have seen it if it wasn't for John! Definitely a home away from home.
Not only was this the most stately of the B&Bs we stayed in on our recent trip, John and Jeanie were delightful hosts. They are extremely proud of the home their grandfather built, and rightfully so. The accommodations were luxurious, with extremely comfortable beds in cheerful rooms decorated with beautiful antiques. We enjoyed learning about the history of the home and the surrounding area from our hosts. Breakfasts were delicious, complete with homemade marmalade. Heaven! Jeanie graciously brought us ice so we could chill a bottle of wine and relax after a long day of driving. John gave us the BEST sight-seeing advice, including a drive through Dunloe Gap which was the complete highlight of our vacation. I highly recommend staying at the sunny yellow Sallyport House; but do stay at least two nights so you can spend one day touring the stunning and varied Beara Penninsula.…
