Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently organised a hen party at the Kenmare Bay and we had a wonderful experience. Alan and the team were excellent to deal with. Alan organised cocktail making for us in one of their luxury lodges on on one of the nights. It was such a fun experience for a hen; I would highly recommend it. We were then given a lovely function room for the second day to have afternoon tea and games. The team were super accommodating to our needs. The weekend was also very affordable. I would highly recommend the hotel for a hen. Thank you, Ann-Marie Buckley

This has to be one of the nicest, most relaxing breaks I have ever had. What can I say about the Kenmare Bay Hotel??? The staff are incredible, they never seem to stop. Always smiling when you come in the door, making sure they greet everyone and nothing ever seems to be too much for any of them. The facilities in the hotel are amazing as well. Full leisure facility available. The hotel also offers in depth knowledge about the surrounding area of the Ring of Kerry and beyond. All in all a brilliant stay and we will definitely be back again.

Stayed in the superior room for the night while visiting Kenmare and could not fault the hotel from the large spacious room that was clean tidy , comfortable beds where like sleeping at home and a superb buffet breakfast in the morning to follow . Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place to stay in Kenmare

Stayed here 1 night while we spent a week in kerry, friendliness lacking, especially from night porter. Very basic for price paid, photos online are a lot better than what you see. Unfortunately this was our least favourite place during our trip and we stayed in a wide variety of places. Not value for money, dirty glasses in courtyard area from when we checked in to check out.

Stayed here in a family room, was not cheap for 2 adults and a child, standards gone away down, hotel felt grubby and breakfast was only ok. Won't be returning. In my opinion hotels either take guests or refugees, trying to do both doesn't work

We had a lovely 1 night break in the Kenmare Bay Hotel in January. The public areas and bedrooms were spotlessly clean and clearly well kept. The staff were friendly with a special mention to Hanneke on reception. So helpful and very prompt with any questions I had via email! Sam (?) (blonde haired young guy) in the bar was also very good and looked after us well into the night. We didn’t eat here but definitely will when we hopefully return in the summer.

Just enjoyed a perfect weekend break with my family, 9 adults 3 children and 2 babies, in the Kenmare Bay Hotel. The child friendly staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay making it a very relaxing break away. We all had breakfast and dined in the hotel restaurant in the evenings, the food was excellent. To summarise, booking, checking in, rooms, child friendly, amenities, service, staff, food, was all of a high standard and will definitely bring us back to the Kenmare Bay Hotel!

I am a member of the pool and for a long time the water temperature of the pool is cold, the jacuzzi is often under maintenance during the day, when they could do maintenance in the evening. The showers in the women's changing rooms are freezing as well as the changing room has no heating system. Despite having pointed this out on several occasions, the situation does not change.I have heard other people complaining, especially mothers with children. People have also decreased because paying for poor service makes no sense.

From start to finish, our 3 day trip to Kenmare was delightful.Such a beautiful part of the country. The staff were amazing and super friendly, and always available for any of our needs. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very homely. And the food, was amazing, one of the best places we have eaten. We ate in both the bar and restaurant as well as breakfast all 3 mornings. Goats cheese Salad and the Brisket Ciabatta were divine. We will be back next year for sure. Thanks
