I stayed here whilst seeing a friend in kenmare. Beautiful location and only a 10 minute walk into town. My room was lovely and breakfast was perfect. Thank you so much and i will be back with my better half next time.

Great location for a visit to Kenmare or the area. I got to see a calf birthing right after arriving! The town is very nice with some really nice pubs - check the music schedules and plan accordingly if you want the best experience. Food was good, and rooms clean - great value!

Gortamullen House is in a great location. It feels private, yet close enough to town to be able to walk. The house is situated on a working farm. I was talking to another couple that said they were able to chat with the hosts about the farm and they really enjoyed it. I wish we had stayed longer so I could have done that as well. Margaret and her husband were so sweet!! Breakfast is continental. You can help yourself to yogurt and beverages in the fridge and make coffee or tea. I don't even know where to start when it comes to the homemade goodies - brown bread, scones (to die for scones!) an amazing fruit and nut bread. SO good!! The room was clean and comfortable. We got a great nights sleep. The walk into town is only about 5 minutes. There are vests and flash lights available if you think you will be walking in the dark. Be sure to touch base with the hosts prior to your arrival. If you follow Google maps it will not take you to Gortamullen House. You will need a location code to find your way there. It was sent to me a week or so before our trip.
