The Happy Pig is a unique Guesthouse in Kenmare and the ideal touring base for the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara on the Wild Atlantic Way. Beautifully decorated rooms, super comfy beds and lovely views to the gardens, mountains and surrounding countryside ensure a very restful stay. Our specially built covered shed gives parking and a dry room for motorbikes and bikes. Tasty breakfasts cooked by Irma each morning include her special overnight oats & fruit, organic scrambled eggs & smoked salmon & freshly baked scones & breads. Just a short walk brings you to the beautiful heritage town of Kenmare with its many award winning restaurants and lively bars at night time. Great craft shops and art galleries staying open late in the summer months make for an enjoyable stroll around the town.

This is my fourth time in beautiful Ireland and I think this is my favorite place I have ever stayed. Rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated with wonderful little touched everywhere. The property is convenient (easily walkable) to the Main Street area but just enough off the beaten path to be relaxing and serene. It’s the perfect base for ring of Kerry and other day trips and tours. We were offered tea and sweets on the terrace when we arrived and the breakfast was outstanding !! The host, Irma, was so genuine and kind. She was laid back but very attentive and accommodating. Pickles the dog was our kids favorite part 🙂 ( and maybe the French toast). I look forward to returning. You won’t regret a stay at this beautiful B&B!

Great location, a 10 minute walk to town, a great cooked to order breakfast, spotless, and Irma is an incredible host. Couldn't be more pleased with our 2 night stay. We'll be back, and we highly recommend to anyone looking for a B&B in the Kenmare area.

I was running late. so I called Irma to inform her. She said not to worry that she would leave a key for me and instructions for whatever I would need. Nice location, adorable guesthouse, with, you guessed it, a pig theme. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast! Really cute dining area, when I woke and came downstairs all the tables were set. I was greeted by Claudia, Irma was in the kitchen. We were given a delicious bread/pastry basket, offered coffee, tea and juice and a choice of breakfast items. Absolutely delightful stay!

My Mother and I stayed in the double bed suite for a week and we didn’t want to leave! Where do I start? The Happy Pig is a gorgeous home situated on breathtaking grounds. Irma was a goddess of hostesses and made sure we had the most amazing stay. Her energetic personality is contagious and you can see the love she puts into every part of this BnB. On arrival, she had coffees and goodies for us in the parlor which was so appreciated after 20 hours of travel (California). Our rooms were refreshed everyday and fresh cookies and infused water were always awaiting us. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and stocked with everything you need (even a hair dryer!). Her breakfasts are INCREDIBLE. No need to ever go into town for breakfast. Speaking of town, there is a well-lit, gravel_to_paved cut~through to downtown that we walked day and night. It takes about 6-10 minutes depending on your pace. Perfect for walking back from the bars late at night and we felt very safe doing so. We were so pleased that we recommended The Happy Pig to other family members who were also traveling with us and they actually cancelled their other accommodations just to stay there. We are already planning our trip back to Kenmare and will absolutely be booking The Happy Pig again.…

Our time at The Happy Pig was a real treat. The accommodations are beautifully appointed, super comfortable and a host that knows how to take care of her guests. Oh another plus - the breakfast was exceptional and we even had a to-go goodie for the road.

Our stay at The Happy Pig was simply perfect. The room- and the entire property for that matter -was beautifully decorated, warm and inviting ,and spotlessly clean. Irma was the most gracious host , gave us lots of useful tips about sites to see and the breakfasts she prepared were delicious. Her baked goods were scrumptious which she kindly packed for us too for the next leg of our journey. If you’re a dog lover, Ms Pickles will be a plus:) If you’re looking for a place to stay in Kenmare, look no further!

Stayed here for a couple of nights in September with mt girlfriend. The perfect spot to explore kenmare and less than an hour from Sneem and Killarney either way. Rooms were top class and the food was lovely. The host Irma was a lovely woman also, very helpful and accommodating!

We spent a couple of nights in The Happy Pig while exploring the lovely town of Kenmare. It was such an amazing experience! From the food to the rooms and service! A place I will visit again for sure! All thanks to the owner who made it an unforgettable stay!

Incredible! Such a welcoming vibe and brilliant service. Travelling from warm sunny Santa Fe all the way to rainy Ireland, I was incredibly grateful to have fresh warm apple pie upon arrival, followed by a great shower and the comfiest of beds. Thank you for your hospitality Irma and Co! I will definitely be back.
