Athos, Sunny and the team were amazing and entertaining hosts. The food and accommodation were great. The activities were great fun and engaging. Really enjoyed our stay, the location and the hosts...
The Eclipse Centre was recommended to us as an ideal place for a team building excursion for our local GAA team and it didn't disappoint. We arrived for lunch on Saturday, settled in before heading off Coasteering. On return to base, hot showers and the delicious barbeque was devoured. The bonfire roared as the players settled into the Barn for the night, playing games, few bevvies, playing music and essentially spending time together. The army barracks was very comfortable and warm accomodation. Full Irish with a Cypriot twist for breakfast fuelled the engines for a morning of individual, group and team challenges which tested the resolve of all and it was fantastic to see the lads figure things out and work together as they realised they were dependant on each other to complete the various tasks. Hot showers again before lunch and the journey home and without doubt, an early night for all. Athos's enthusiasm for the job at hand is huge and he is ably assisted by Sonny, Sebastian and the rest of the crew. Unreservedly recommend the Eclipse Centre. …
Following on from our stay with you for a recent weekend we would like to extend a “BIG & SINCERE THANK YOU” to you and your Team at the Centre. The Young People and ourselves had a Fantastic experience, one that will be spoken about for a long time to come. The welcome, the accommodation and the activities were all of such a high quality and standard and we would definitely hope to return sometime in the future.
For start in the place you don't sleep in the houses, you sleep in a big room with 18 bunk bed.Later, after do the activities with a lot of mud you have to go to a showers that doesn't have hot water.
A family group of 6 of us did coasteering with Athos and Sonny in early September and had an absolute ball of a time. The two guys were very funny and immediately picked up on the vibe of our group and had great banter with us. There was another group of 3 who were also doing the activity with us, and we were all accommodated appropriately. The activity itself was very enjoyable, and no one was forced to jump when uncomfortable, and alternatives were always provided for those who weren't able to jump from a certain height of climb a certain rockface. The guys also highly encouraged competition, which we loved. The towels at the end were very much appreciated!!
We did two family events; Kayaking with Django football in the on-site lake one day, and coasteering the next out past Sneem. It's hard to emphasise just how much fun we had, and how great the team are in Eclipse! Athos and the boys are extremely welcoming and enormous craic. We had 11 adults/children playing Django football on the lake with Jerry. Really brings out the competitive spirit and Jerry is a blast. As a 51 year old going with teens on the coasteering I was pretty stretched physically but Athos and Sonny made it an amazing experience - and go-Pro footage included for the memories. These guys are a masterclass in hospitality and helping provide fun for families looking for bit of activity. Check them out!
Just back from group family trip to Eclipse. Would highly recommend if you want an activity based holiday. Location is a bit remote 20 mins drive from Kenmare and 25 from Sneem but there is a pub / shop just a few mins up the road run by a really lovely man. So many activities on site and all run very professionally by Athos and his sons - they know how to get the most out of kids & adults by pushing your boundaries. We did archery which was so much more fun than expected, kayaking, mud run, orienteering, coasteering (which our group totally loved the exhilarating experience)… we could have stayed another week to fit all the other activities in The houses are clean and located so close to all amenities which was great for showers etc. They possibly could be updated a little but we’d have no hesitation recommending to stay Overall a great week was had, friendly helpful staff and great facilities - we will be return at some stage which kinda says it all🙂…
As a family with 2 teenage boys (13 and 15 years) we did an afternoon of coasteering with Athos and it was the highlight of our 12 day trip and the one thing all four of us all did together and ALL enjoyed. Fun, beautiful scenery and a little challenging at times without being scary. Athos was great at helping us get the most out of it at our various levels - from encouraging my fearless 13 year old to do front flips off a really high rock to getting me (who is really scared of heights) to climb a pretty hairy (for me!) bit of cliff and jump off something nearly 50 feet high which I was really proud of! All this with lots of fun, lots of support and encouragement and no pressure to do anything we didn't want to do. We are still yelling "Hoo-ya"!!!
Absolutely fantastic- my kids did the coasteering , I felt comfortable leaving in the secure hands of Athos and his family. The coasteering adrenaline filed and they absolutely loved it. To cap it all off we got the GoPro footage so they could proudly show off the craziness… seriously if you are even thinking of it, do it!!!
We stayed in 2 houses at the Eclipse adventure center (8 children and 9 adults) and couldn't fault anything. The houses are spotless with plenty of room and gardens to relax in. The children did camp 10 - 4 on a couple of days and would gladly have gone all week of allowed. We did a family activity one of the days led by the owner Athos and it was the most fun as a group any of us have had my, it suited the 7 - 47 year old and the fastest to the slowest. Athos and his family are lovely hosts and brilliant at wjat they do, I couldn't recommend Eclipse Adventure Centre enough.
