2022 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
Dating back to 1897, heritage and luxury are combined at the Park Hotel Kenmare to create a gracious home, that is yours to enjoy. A vibrant hotel with wonderful facilities like our Deluxe Destination Spa SÁMAS, Bamford Treatments, 25mt Lap Pool, Cinema and Daily Lifestyle Classes, but a place where we are not ashamed to be old fashioned. This Victorian landmark, dating from 1897, with its splendid views over the glistening waters of Kenmare Bay, the ever changing light of the Cork and Kerry Mountains, the adjoining 18 hole golf course, garden walks and the Heritage Town of Kenmare is home to one of Ireland’s finest hotels. Tradition, in every sense, is important to us, as is the fun of today, the devilment of a younger guest, the delight of a couple holding hands and the delivery of true service. It is a rare place where the decadence of the past is married with the modernism of today.

We had a wonderful stay in Kenmare Park Hotel. Old world class at its best. What makes this hotel better than most is their staff. From check in to check out you could not fault Kenmare Park Hotel's crew. We had dinner in the dining room and the food was exquisite. So worth the visit. We are looking forward to a return visit and hope to stay longer next time. Thank you for a relaxing and very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful welcome at the entrance with complementary champagne awaiting in our room. The suite was very spacious and furnished with taste. Room facilities superb. Very comfortable bed without any background noise ensuring a full nights sleep. Beautiful sea views from the veranda outside, which was overlooking exceptional parklands. The Restaurant /Breakfast Room is beautifully decorated and furnished. The food and service was excellent. Both the Restaurant and Bar staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was also superb! Reception staff were efficient and very helpful with some Cork humour adding to an excellent experience! True Five Star experience delivered with true warmth and friendliness.

We just completed our third visit to Kenmare. All three visits, we stayed at the Park Hotel Kenmare. Each visit we bring different people so they can experience the high level of service and the beauty of the hotel. The grounds are magnificent and the golf course is next door. Very convenient. Walk out the front gate and you are in the town of Kenmare. When you go, choose the rooms with the view of the water. Incredibly peaceful and with complimentary breakfast! It is the best money you will spend. The best part of this experience is the staff. They make us feel at home each time we go. Phillip, John Moriarty and the entire team are fantastic

Kenmare Park is a stunning hotel. My wife and I stayed for one night and availed of the spa, taster menu, breakfast, a walk by the water, morning yoga, a swim and could not fault any of it. The service was top class and the restaurant food is up there with the many Michelin starred restaurants we have eaten in. The spa treatment was amazing also and set the tone for a relaxing day and night. The room was gorgeous and was facing the view of the water and mountain, so picturesque! First time stay here but is the first of many more to come.

Five star experience with views, staff and food to match. The rooms are luxurious with art works, antique furniture, comfortable seating, quality bedding and soft carpets. The hallways are equally well dressed with antiques, points of interest, seating and stained glass windows.

Dear Brid I hope you are keeping well. Thank you for your lovely review of your stay with us at Park Hotel Kenmare. I appreciate your time to describe all the different aspects of your stay that you enjoyed with us. We are very proud of our extensive art collection throughout the hotel. John Moriarty, our Bar Manager is also very happy to do a little hotel tour on the art also. The many antiques on display are a lovely surprise to our guests also. Our linen provider is De Witte Lietaer. They have been producing a high quality linen since 1898, a year after we were born funnily enough. Please contact me directly on tjmulcahy@parkkenmare.com if I may be of any assistance to you in the future. Warm Regards TJ

I stayed at this lovely hotel in 2019 with my late husband. Both his parents were from Kenmare. It was our last holiday together before he died. I went over with four of his cousins on 23 April 2022 and we thought it would be nice to have a coffee in the hotel in his memory which we tried to do on 25th April. We were met on the steps by the Concierge who said it was Residents only, we asked if we could have coffees on the terrace but he said no. I was very upset by this. I do understand restrictions with Covid but every other hotel we visited in his memory allowed non residents in.

The Park Hotel has been on our bucket list for years and, this year, we finally got to stay there. Suffice to say, it joins a very short list of hotels we should like to stay at again. It has a timeless elegance, pleasant rooms and the staff are, without exception, charming, dedicated and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Nice touches were to see a new member of staff being shown the hotel’s way of pouring tea at breakfast, the intimate knowledge one member of staff had of the hotel’s considerable art collection and the windscreen of our car being cleaned prior to departure

Dear Julian I hope you are keeping well. Thank you so much for your wonderful review and your time given to describe, all that you enjoyed about your stay with us. It's the small things that really matter to us and I appreciate you acknowledging these throughout your stay with us. We really like to be sure that our guests can look out through their front windscreen and see very clearly all that the beautiful Kerry landscape has to offer. Lovely stay. The hotel is beautifuly located at the bay. Very properly friendly staff. Rooms and facilities spotlessly clean. Beautiful decor. We only ate breakfast there. It was a quite basic breakfast, disappointing for this class of hotel. Also the SPA facilities (except pool) are only available at an additional cost or after purchasing an extra treatment. We noticed that not many people decided to do so, maybe out of principle.

Dear Geelonka I hope you are keeping well. It was lovely to read that had a lovely stay with us and enjoyed the friendliness of all team member you encountered. We pride ourselves on making a positive first impression with our guests and delighted we have achieved this with you. I'm sorry that you felt our Breakfast could have offered more choice. We genuinely have won many awards for our Breakfast particularly the number of options available both hot and cold dishes. I would appreciate any other feedback and I promise that we will consider your suggestion as we are always looking to improve. Please contact me directly on tjmulcahy@parkkenmare.com and I look forward to hearing from you. Warm regards TJ

We felt embraced by the friendly warmhearted and devoted service all over the place during our stay in the authentic Kenmare Park Hotel. The easy chats with humor and information given was great. A lovely walk in the surrounded park surprised us with the diversity of nature. What a pleasure and joy. The best place for our 15th anniversary, our warmhearted thanks, Max&Patricia from Amsterdam.
