This was our first visit to Ballyheigue and O Neills B and B and it won’t be our last. The whole area is a hidden gem….beautiful beaches, lovely restaurants, numerous singing pubs and nice towns to visit….Tralee and Listowel being two. O Neills band b is perfect in every way. The hosts and staff are welcoming and attentive . The rooms and beds are comfortable and adaquete . The views from the rooms are spectacular and the sounds of the sea are beautiful to sleep to. The availability of tea/ coffee and biscuits all day is a welcome bonus and there is a lovely lounge with comfy armchairs to relax in. The breakfasts are lovely and freshly cooked to order. The young girl who works in the dining room and takes care of the rooms is charming and very competent in a lovely unassuming way. We really enjoyed our stay in Ballyheigue and hope to return soon.

What an absolute treasure find! I have travelled the 4 corners of Ireland extensively, especially over the past two years with both family & friends and have stayed in everything from hotels, guest houses, glamping sites to B&Bs so I can honestly say that my stay in O'Neills B&B in Ballyheigue was without doubt my favourite stay to date! From the moment we drove into their carpark with stunning seaviews, that blew our minds, we knew that we were somewhere special indeed, and that was even on a rainy day! The extremely warm welcome that we received from Patrick on our arrival set the tone for what was a truly memorable break. Their B&B has far reaching views across the sandy beach to the mountains beyond. The guest dining room has comfortable reclining armchairs where you can kickback and relax looking out the large picture windows at the stunning scenery or take your morning coffee out onto their extensive balcony and pull up a seat to start the day taking in the beautiful views. The lovely Grace appears almost by magic with her coffee pot to top up your coffee without a need to even look for it! She is a great asset to the place, giving us lots of local knowledge & tips on where to explore, eat and dance the night away! Ballyheigue is a well kept secret! It has beautiful scenery, people and places to visit. Our evening meals out were all delicious and the service was second to none. The pubs are lively with lots of options to choose from depending on your preference, either for a quiet drink, live music or to bop the night away to disco classics! All are within a short stroll back to O'Neills B&B where there is a guest kitchen to make yourself a complimentary cuppa and help yourself to delicious cookies! Be sure to leave your bedroom window open at night and you will be lulled into a restful sleep to the sound of the waves below your cosy bedroom, sheer bliss! Breakfast is a delicious hearty affair, loads of choice including a tasty cooked breakfast from Patrick, who will expertly cook your choices to order. I doubt there is a better view in Ireland, or anywhere, to enjoy your breakfast and set yourself up for the day! On our second day the sun shone brightly so we walked down to the beach and walked along the shoreline and over the beautiful dunes to Banna beach which was a beautiful long walk and there are coffee docks and food stalls there where you can enjoy some refreshments alfresco watching the surfers ride the waves! On our return walk to Ballyheigue Beach along the shoreline we rewarded ourselves with fish & chips on the beach as we watched the tide come in and waited for the lovely sunset, heaven! The warmth of the welcome, the character of the establishment, the cosiness of the bedrooms, the delicious breakfast, and the outstanding views from the rooms make ONeills B&B in beautiful Ballyheigue a stay that is a very reasonable cost but a priceless experience. We will be back!

Stayed here for 2 nights this week .. the place is an absolute gem .. Patrick & his dad were most welcoming & friendly .. The magnificent sea view from the room window was breathtaking.. left the windows open all nights and was lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves (nothing better than that sound) . Location is great , just a stroll into the Main Street where everything is located .. breakfast, cooked by Patrick , was included in the price which, might I add, was so reasonable.. might I just mention the lovely Grace serving it , such a polite , chatty & helpful girl .. will 100% be back !

Recently stayed at O'Neill's with my husband and daughter (3) We had a lovely stay, although it was only for 1 night so a bit short. The B&B is located right beside the beach in Ballyheigue. Its within walking distance of everything in the village. Everyone we met in the B&B were lovely & friendly. The breakfast was excellent & they catered very well for our daughter too. Would 100% come back again & will be recommending to any of my friends travelling to Kerry.

We stayed in one of the self catering apartments, two adults and two kids. Patrick could not have done enough for us, such a warm welcome! The place was so comfortable and a home away from home, with every amenity we needed. We had our own patio and seating area and our own privacy and sitting there, right next to the sea, listening to the waves...it was good for the soul. It was one of the nicest breaks we have ever had. So near also to Ardfert with fab restaurants and even a trip to The Dogs in Tralee, 20 mins away...Thanks so much!

Highly recommend staying here with Patrick, Dad and family. We had a fantastic week and they always went out of their way to ensure that we were very well looked after. The grandparents stayed in the apartment and my family of 5 stayed in the B&B and we all were thoroughly pleased. The stunning location and breakfast were top notch. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again for everything Orla, Shane and all the gang!

We stayed at O'Neill's Apartments in mid-July. The location is fantastic, looking right over the Beach & a 5 min walk away. Patrick was the perfect host, ie gave us our key on check-in, a few texts during the week & took it back on check-out. The weather wasn't great, one very good day in 8, but kids loved being in the sea on their body boards. And my wife loved being near the ocean, the view & the sounds.. We used it as a base to see the Dingle Peninsula, Ventry, Fungie, etc, with some lovely meals in Kate Browne's in Ardfert... Would highly recommend this...
