We recently held our wedding reception at the Listowel Arms Hotel. We really can’t praise or recommend the Listowel Arms highly enough. From the moment we started planning our wedding Patrice helped and advised us every step of the way. Nothing we asked for was ever any problem and every request we made was greeted with helpful assistance and encouragement. We were absolutely blown away by the level of professionalism and kindness we were shown by the whole team. The staff on the day couldn’t have done more for us, each and every single one were incredibly attentive and helpful. Some of our guests even told us afterwards they were driven home by a staff member at 4am when they couldn’t get a taxi while others were made toasted sandwiches at this time also! This really was above and beyond! The food was exceptional and faultless, combined with the stunning setting and backdrop of the beautiful river Feale, it truly made it the most magical day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We had a party for our mother's 90th recently in the Feale Room at the Listowel Arms Hotel. Over 40 family members sat down for a 4 course meal followed by a party with music and finger food for invited guests. The room was overlooking the River Feale & the racecourse, with balconies to step out onto, perfect for our party. The meal was superb and very relaxed with any special dietary requirements and late arrivals catered for with a smile! Patrice and all the team made the day so very special for my mother. The staff of the hotel were incredibly friendly and ever present on the night and always on hand to help with anything we needed and kept everything running smoothly. This was probably the 1st post COVID get together for a lot of people on the night, particularly older friends and neighbours. The Listowel Arms facilitated this social occasion with such professionalism and friendliness that the party will be remembered for a long time to come. Thanks to Patrice and her wonderful staff from Elaine & Katie Larkin

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Listowel Arms Hotel in August 2022. From our first meeting with Patrice 8 months earlier, to the actual wedding day, the whole process could not have been easier or more of a joy. First of all, the Hotel itself is just gorgeous, a fabulous place to take photos in an idyllic setting. Patrice is so knowledgeable, calm and a delight to work with; no request was too small and she really went over and above. She is so detail oriented and made sure our day looked just how we wanted, matching our aesthetic and feeing just like us! Then on the actual day, the whole team working there were just amazing. Our guests absolutely loved every minute of it and we were looked after so well. The food was second to none and the detail in everything made the day perfect. I had high expectations but Patrice and her team surpassed all of them. I cannot recommend the Listowel Arms Hotel enough to anyone looking for that perfect wedding venue.

Yes, this is 'Ye Olde Eire'. 250 years of existence and rejuvenated again, fortunately with leaving the many original details. Yes, stuffed with hunting pictures, completely unknown 'knowns from the past', creaking boards and darkish bar. Decent room and bathroom, small beds unfortubately, but 150X190 seems to be the standard. Yet an 'average': the food was just not good. We booked a room with menu, but then the choice is limited. In the and I came out with something that the waiter called 'fish and chips', not fullly to the description and indeed, this was horrible, both the chips and the pollock ("Pollock we send to the English, we prefer hake and codfish,'' as an Irishman had explained to us) Ugh and yuk. My wife's Indian food was not any better.

We had a meal here recently . The food was disgusting . The Vegetable Tandoori was like a Pot Noodle . The rice was lukewarm and the rest was like chopped vegetables in a dish of water . There was no consistency or flavor to the sauce whatsoever . Whoever sent that out from the kitchen should be ashamed of themselves . When we asked for a wine list the server looked at us as if we were aliens . ( Not her fault the staff obviously have very little or zero training ). There seemed to be a couple of Managers walking around but no one was checking in with the tables to see if everyone was enjoying their meal !! We didn’t complain because of the way it was being run it seemed pointless complaining . A little bit of Staff Training and the Managers paying some attention to the customers would go a long way .

My daughter had her wedding reception in the Listowel Arms recently Aug 2022. Patrice and all the team made the day so very special, they went above and beyond to make it wonderful and took all the stress out of the planning. On the day itself they had all the little extras they had promised. It’s such a beautiful hotel, the food was amazing and they took time to sort any special dietary requirements. The bridal suite was so gorgeous with a balcony over the river, a claw foot bath, his and hers sinks with tons of space. We had requested early check-in and one or two extras for an elderly relative with mobility issues and they couldn't have been more helpful and cheerful in accomadating us. What really made it though were the staff they spoiled us, our family and friends with their great service, their friendliness and charm. All our guests were impressed by their experience and the lovely staff. It’s a beautiful venue to have your wedding. (or any special occasion). Thank you Listowel Arms for an excellent experience.

We visited The Listowel Arms hotel for three nights to attend a very good friend's wedding. The ceremony and reception also took place in the hotel. From our arrival everything was very enjoyable. From the reception staff who made us very welcome to our room overlooking Listowel Racecourse, everything was excellent. Even when we discovered the we were short of bath towels, one quick call to reception and within a couple of minutes a fresh supply of towels was brought to us. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and very tasty and the setting and decor take you to a bygone era in a peaceful and relaxed environment. A very relaxing trip and can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

We had our wedding in the Listowel Arms on New Years Eve 2021. We can’t thank Patrice and all the team enough for making our day so special, they went above and beyond to make it so and took all the stress out of the planning. On the day itself they even made lovely suggestions for including things that we would never have thought of and kept us on track to ensure things ran as smoothly as possible. The venue was beautifully decorated and they thought of everything. It’s such a beautiful hotel, the food was amazing with great options for dietary requirements. The rooms were really comfortable and beautifully decorated. What really made it though were the staff they spoiled us, our family and friends with their great service, their friendliness, charm and wit!! Our parents, families, cousins and friends were all telling me how impressed they were by their experience and the lovely staff. Those that haven’t been before said they will be booking in for a future weekend getaway, while others were even recommending to colleagues at work to check the place out. It’s a beautiful venue to have your wedding, they looked after us so well. Thank you for everything, Marion and David Sexton
