Detailed Reviews
The Bean an ti/woman of the house, was so a warm, welcoming, and friendly host. Breakfasts were cooked to order each morning. There was a generous selection of cereals available too. The tables were dressed in pristine white tablecloths and the house was spotlessly clean throughout.
This bed and breakfast is located in the town itself, so is very centrally located.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this well established Bed and Breakfast, to anyone who values cleanliness and warm hospitality.

I had a very comfortable stay at North County House and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The bed and breakfast is centrally located and close to shops, banks and local attractions. Thank you Monica and Roisin for all the extra things you helped me with.
Highly recommend!

North county house is in a great location in Listowel with plenty of amenities close by. We had a lovely family stay here over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our freshly 'cooked to order' breakfast which set us up for the day! Our family room was spotless clean, not a cobweb in sight! The bathroom was beautifully modernized with fresh towels supplied daily. The owners couldn't be nicer and go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasant one! If your looking for a great Irish welcome then North County House is the place to stay with great food and service! We would definitely stay here again. Well done to the family and thank you for the hospitality!

Stayed here for a few weeks on college placement. I was looked after as good as I can ever remember. The room was lovely comfortable, and warm. The shower was excellent, toilet was sparkling clean. The breakfast was outstanding. As a student it was like a feast every morning. Monica was always keen to help in any way she could and embodied all the best of Irish hospitality, always looking out for me and asking how she could help. Thank you to her and all that worked there!
I would recommended this to all, you could not get a warmer welcome to Listowel, and ideally located!
They were eager to look after my dietary issues and did so probably better than anywhere else I've stayed!

The B&B lies on one of Listowel's main streets, but out the back it was quiet. There's no parking, but that's no problem as there's a free car park less than 5 minute's walk away. I have slept in nicer beds though.

We are a band on tour of Ireland, and stayed at the North County House last night. Monica was extremely hospitable from the minute we got the the BNB to the minute we left. She brought us tea when we arrived, and cooked a lovely breakfast the next morning. We highly recommend this beautiful old house to stay in! There are many places to stay Listowel, but this is the number one place to stay!

Just returned from Ireland. Had the most wonderful experience at the North County B&B. We were welcomed by the friendly family, they run a fabulous B&B the most delicious breakfast not to mention the most comfortable beds and extremely clean. This will be on our list from now on as One of the best B&Bs in the country.

Quite the best guest house I have visited. Great welcome from the proprietor, nothing too much trouble. Well-appointed en-suite rooms, good bed and excellent powerful shower. Free wifi of course and a first class breakfast with a wide range of choices. Tea, coffee and herbal infusions all available. Highly recommended

A friend booked me into this bed and breakfast on a recent visit to listowel. It is in the centre of the town with on street parking. The staff were very welcoming and we were given coffee and biscuits on arrival. The room was large and had been modernised. The ensuite was excellent with a bath/shower. The breakfast the following morning was excellent and again the staff were very friendly and good humoured. I would rate this b+b very highly and I would return.

We stayed in Listowel for 2 nights at the North County House. We loved our stay. Monica was very accommodating. We arrived about 11 AM on June 30 and she showed us to our room. We had arrived at Shannon that morning and traveled by bus from Shannon, through Limerick to Listowel. It was really nice to be able to get into the room in the morning. The breakfasts were super and Monica does everything herself. On July 1, she gave us a ride to Ballybunion, since she was taking her son over. We spent a pleasant morning along the beach and took the Buseirann back to Listowel. We had a delightful lunch at JR's , across the street from the B&B. Both nights we had dinner in the Horseshoe Pub. Good pub food....roast and catch of the day each evening. On Friday, there is a market on the square and it was a lot of fun. Moira enjoyed the crepes. We did plenty of walking in town and visited the Garden of Europe. A wonderful 2 day stay. We highly recommend the North County House as a nicely located place to stay in town. John and Moira O'Connor
