Aunty Supang & her husband Uncle Chiew welcomes their guests with a warm smile and great hospitality. A really rustic place, a real gem in the highlands, tucked in a corner of the world, this place is where one totally immerse in nature and God's wonderful creation. Part of the house is on stilts, over a water lily pond, surrounded...

Madam Supang Galah and her husband Naboon run a tight ship here in Pa Lungan. Lovely homey rooms, nice open air spaces and of course the most excellent of meals served fresh and hot cooked lovingly from produce sourced from the jungles nearby. As a repeat visitor to the Kelabit Highlands I have already stayed at the Batu Ritung Lodge...

Batu Ritung lodge (BRL) is located in Pa Lungan. BRL itself is charming, located right next to paddy fields. As the other reviews say, Supang and her husband (Mr Chew) are masters of hospitality. They are ever ready to tell you a local tale, educate you on your surroundings (including the history of Sarawak) and to meet our every need....

This is the most wonderful place you can imagine. The hosts are so warm and hospitable, it is impossible not to enjoy the beautiful tranquility of life here. The daily meals are superb. Supang is always on hand to help organise anything you might like, and Auby will fascinate you with tales of Malaysian life. If you can, you have...

Batu Ritung lodge is located in a village called Pa'Lungan, its a remote village without proper road access, to get there, we hiked through the rainforest for almost 4 hours. There is no electricity, no running tap water... and of course no mobile phone signal. It's a perfect "getaway" from city life. Yet the owner of the Batu Ritung will...

The couple running this homestay are masters of hospitality and keeping guests entertained with stories of the past and the current era in this remote enclave in the jungles of northern Sarawak. Sampang's food is phenomenal, really the best I had in the region, their home basic but absolutely adequate, private, clean and spacious, and the setting breathtaking. They also...

We spent three days in Pa' Lungan with Supang and Nabun and I can't speak too highly about their warmth and generosity. Getting here is a challenge - limited flights followed by a four to five hour hike. But its absolutely worth the effort. My husband had undergone a hip replacement three months beforehand but he wouldn't have missed the...

We had a great stay here. The owners were so freindly, and we had a long and very interesting conversation with them about the rice there. Also, amazing rice wine! I wish they had let us buy some! The room and bathrooms were comfortable as well. The only downside was they were renovating the house when we were there and...

Simply love this treasure in Pa Lungan. Once is never enough. My 1st visit to Pa Lungan was in April 2014 with a very experience and well spoken guide Lian Tarawe who explained and showed me the different terrain and flora n fauna to Pa Lungan. Lian n his family also run their own homestay in Bario, Tarawe Lodge. Even...

Pa Lungan - It's a must go place to visit in this region! Although it's away from the accessibility of many places, the owners takes the initiative to be well-stocked with drinks and food. Water supply is good. Wished we stayed on more days to go hunting with the folks!
