We stayed over at the Karroo Theatrical Hotel on a Saturday night, which included the cabaret show and three course dinner. The East facing twin room was not especially luxurious but was clean and comfortable ( the pool facing ones are apparently nicer but not available in twin). However, all other aspects of this hotel were certainly unique, from the...

We did some research about exciting entertainment experiences and came across the Karroo theatrical Hotel in Steytlerville. And so we booked this....and what an experience it was! From our booking to our departure everything was perfect. The venue and its hosts Jacques and Mark were unbelievable. The food, accommodation, entertainment and every thing these 2 gentlemen touched was superb! BRAVO...

We stayed one night and had 2 rooms (3 of us traveling). The rooms are old, tired, poor beds and certainly not very clean (flee bites....). The hosts are friendly. Wifi is OK. Dinner was pretty horrible and breakfast is not too good either. The pool on the premisses is large but was very dirty. The whole place needs a...

The name says it all-opulence and splendour. What a pleasant experience form the minute that you enter the hotel and until you leave-Friendly service and a welcoming experience. Humour, relaxing time, good food, some good classical music, very nice pool... all this in an unexpected Karoo place, beside Steytlerville (therefore in the middle of nowhere). Rooms (back side - nr 10 and 12) comfortable, and above all that: two gentle hosts who warmly welcome and take care of their guests, with a good sense of personal welcome to...

Excellent food - karoo lamb with veggies like grandma used to make, pure soul food. Excellent entertainment - transporting you into a theatrical evening where you can feel the love and passion of theatre. Excellent hosts - what a privilege to have shared a moment in life with these 2 talented people. They make you feel right at home from...

We thoroughly enjoyed the show. The venue is beautifully an tastefully decorated. The food was good but the show was the highlite of the visit. Definitely a place to visit for the experience - just to get there was an adventure in itself. Very worthwhile trip.

It was an excellent weekend at the Steytlerville Theatrical Karroo Hotel. The hosts are very friendly and talent-full. The food was excellent. At cocktail time the hosts introduced us to the other guests. This was a very good idea.

We stayed for one night, specifically to watch the theatrical show on Saturday night. We should have stayed longer! The hosts were friendly, the show was fantastic and the dinner and breakfast absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!

Always an interesting and eventful experience from the minute we walk up those stairs. Catching up on local news and progress of amazing extensions, meeting new people and enjoying the delicious meals prepared, to name but a very few of the attractions here. Waiting in anticipation of seeing the 'new' show for the Saturday evening is always exciting too, and...
