The whole evening was superb, the staff was so helpful and the suite we had was great, As we took over all the hotel bedrooms, it made it great to all have breakfast together before departing home. Really enjoyable weekend.

My wife arranged a party to celebrate my birthday come retirement plus a nights accommodation here at the Old Deanery. As it was a weekend and we were having a party complete with DJ we were given the whole establishment including guest rooms. The rooms were offered at a very reasonable B&B rate (£115). They also provided a very nice...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Deanery. The staff made our experience exceptionally good. There is a lovely, very old willow tree in the garden that is incredible helping to make it easy to see why Lewis Carrol (who lived in the area) wrote Alice in Wonderland. The church across the street is a marvel.

Generally we had a very nice stay in this hotel. When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to room2 which had a four poster bed and a very large room overlooking the beautiful gardens. All very clean ,but the carpets were tired looking in our room and on the stairs, felt like the whole place needs a facelift. There were not...

Just across the road from the cathedral, with a good sized car park, this hotel is scoring well before you even get in the door. Once you are inside things are on the twee side of very good. Our room (number 5) had a four poster bed (twee) and a view of the cathedral (very good), shuttered windows and a...

We stayed for 3 nights in room 5 this had amazing views of the Cathedral, the building is so old and wonky which only added to is charm, fabulous breakfast. Quaint little bar area lovely for an evening drink before dinner. The grounds are lovely and so peaceful.

A beautiful old building, located adjacent to Ripon Cathedral & minutes walk from the centre of town. Our double room,we were given an upgrade, was very spacious and comfortable and clean. The breakfast was freshly cooked, with a good choice of menu and very good. We had dinner at the hotel, the menu is small but the food was good and reasonably priced for...

We stayed 4 nights here with friends. Very centrally placed and a delightful building. The hotel is run by a young team of hard-working people for whom nothing is too much trouble. Great room overlooking the garden. Nice freshly cooked breakfast and a good dinner menu in the 1625 restaurant, but sadly only from Thursday to Saturday.

We were attending a wedding in Ripon and booked in to stay overnight. we were in an attic room,, very quaint, however no hanging rail or hooks and the shower could do with a good clean. The staff were very friendly however pre-ordered food and drinks never arrived and the breakfast was average - we had to ask for the...

Many thanks for your review and I'm so pleased that although you were disappointed with aspects of your visit, you could appreciate our wonderful location and quaint rooms. Unfortunately, the pre-ordered food and drinks were prepared and awaiting service in the bar/restaurant but due to a miscommunication, you had actually been awaiting service to your room - an error for...
