I recently visited the hotel for work on 23rd June. Having stayed here numerous times before I can confirm the staff have always been helpful. Sadly the hotel itself has let itself down the last twice I have stayed. Previous time I was in an accessible downstairs room, sadly the foot of the bed was higher than the head end - made for a less than ideal night. Last week I stayed in room 114 and upon entering the room was greeted with a damp, urine based smell. There was also no toilet paper in the holder. Upon information reception on my way out after a quick shower they advised they would get me some toilet roll. Nothing was done / offered to resolve the smell. Although there was a window in the room it was not possible to open so the aircon was on full power to get some air moving.…
During very adverse weather conditions the small staff did everything they could. They advised visitors to move cars in case the river flooded, they gave advice about routes and where was impassable due to flooding. They smiled and they were available.
As usual a very comfortable stay. Many thanks to Michelle the duty manager who sorted out a booking query for us. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was as you would expect from Premier Inn with plenty of choice.
Was in an accessible room, the bed was really low to low for me to get in and out comfortably...noisy people in room above until nearly 2am. Couldn't find any team members the morning I was leaving so wasn't able to put my complaints across
When we arrived after a very hot journey needing a shower, we found the allocated room only had a bath with shower, which is no good for my wife due to mobility issues. But no problem, not only did Natalie and Tammy, swap our room to one with a wet room, they then split the bed into a twin, and remade the room. Talk about go beyond the job. It changed our visit from good, to terrific. Well, done Premier Inn, and especially Natalie and Tammy
We stayed here whilst attending a wedding. Our adjoining rooms were all set up with a travel cot as we’d requested when booking. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good and breakfast was brilliant. Significantly better stay than when we’ve been at other more expensive chain hotels.
Good location Check in welcoming and easy very clean and comfortable room Facilities good and top ups freely available A good nights sleep Staff very helpful and friendly Breakfast was fine Highly recommended
They seemed unable to cater for a party of 8 or 9 guests either sitting together for breakfast or an evening meal. They didn’t have everything on the evening menu and on the morning we left the hot plate wasn’t working so we gave our breakfast order to the 1 person who seemed to be doing everything and we didn’t actually get what we ordered. I have to say Dawn did an excellent job clearing tables and replenishing stock but was on her own most of the time so had an uphill struggle. Staff were very pleasant and situation of hotel was good just disappointed with our stay.
Stayed one night, everything you expect from premier inn.... big clean bedrooms, kingsize comfy beds and tasty all u can eat breakfast. Bar/restaurant area very small and no outdoor seating (even 1 bench would be nice) and we had very noisy neighbours above us, banging about from 6.30 am (unusual for a P.I as i dont normally hear a thing!) Very helpful friendly staff
The breakfast on the Monday was very good, serve yourself and plenty of staff cleaning & clearing, seating customers, topping up, taking payments etc. Evening meal on the Monday was not helped by one of the two expected chefs not being able to work. The other big issue was the number of items that were not available, and if the title grabbed your attention, there was no ice cream. Some of the meals were very good but there is no justification for cold chips, undercooked pizza base, pizza topping not as ordered and over cooked steaks. The breakfast on the Tuesday was a shambles despite the best efforts of the ONE waitress on duty - she was an absolute star. As a result of an electrical fault the hot meals were being served to order. The food that arrived didn’t always match the order, was in some cases poorly cooked and in one case only arrived much later than the others after two interventions by my partner. Maybe we were just unlucky… …
