We stayed for one night recently. The room was a 'superior' one and was very comfortable without being too fussy. Very elegant, with views over the lawn, fountain and fields from the bay window. Bathroom was large with a sunken bath, however the door swing only just made it past the bidet! Room details to like included a silver teapot...

Stayed at Hassop with friends it is a fantastic location a real classic country house hotel. The service was fantastic nothing was to much trouble for the team. The restaurant food was superb and fantastic service even though it was full we were treated as though we were the only guests that mattered. Would definitely stay again or just go...

This hotel ticks all the boxes for me. It has a warm homely atmosphere with the kind of service that makes you feel you are being cared for. The rooms are all different, comfortable and not over modernised. The food is delicious and great care seems to be taken to serve it hot. On this visit we occupied two standard...

I have eaten and stayed here before and was delighted. Unfortunately, we came for sunday lunch for my mother-in-law's 70th and the service was well below par. We weren't the largest party by any stretch but ordering was delayed meaning there was ALOT of hanging around at the table and it was clear that we were coming last for service...

Lovely hotel, staff, location and service in fantastic countryside. 4 of us (two couples) stayed here and 5 more joined us for dinner. We chose more luxurious rooms with 4 posters, fireplaces, sitting area and huge bathroom. We had a fantastic evening followed by a traditional English breakfast the next morning. On checking out we were offered coffee on the...

A Friday night break to celebrate a special date with a dinner, bed and breakfast deal. The weather didn't behave but everything was wonderful from the excellent four course dinner to the tasty and more than adequate breakfast. The staff are friendly and the piano player took requests. An impressive way to celebrate but. It's not cheap. Can you put...

My sister, brother-in-law and I stayed at Hassop Hall overnight when visiting Derbyshire. What a great find this place is! In keeping with Jane Austin county, this place really made me feel like I was stepping back into another time, and that I was guesting in a grand country house. This feeling was enhanced by the interior of the place,...

My 85 year parents and I arrived for a 3 night autumnal break. First impression was wonderful , arrived on a wet gloomy tea time , as soon as you enter the main door there is a coal effect fire lit in the ample hearth . The reception is tucked away so you really feel as though you are a...

Just back from two nights' stay at Hassop Hall to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. What a treat! The impeccably polite and friendly welcome sets the tone for the whole experience. We stayed in one of the front-facing rooms overlooking the gardens - it's definitely worth paying a little extra for the view. The room (15) was spacious and comfortable...

Hassop Hall is beautifully located in the Peak District just outside Bakewell with its own laid out gardens and overlooking a lake and pastures. Service is first class, homely and friendly, although the decor is a little faded. Our standard room had a great view over the gardens, was of good size, comfortable and with a well-appointed modern bathroom with...
