A little gem of a find to stay over bonfire night weekend. arriving on Friday night this is a perfect location from both Chatsworth and to discover and enjoy the delights of Bakewell itself. The owners and family could not have been more lovely, the correct balance of host and ' leaving you to it' it was a home from... More

We stayed for just one night whilst visiting the beautiful town of Bakewell. At Bagshaw Hall we stayed in the Penthouse Suite which has the most amazing views of Bakewell. The room was outstanding the furniture and decor fantastic. The coffee table has a place to chill your wine, the bed is so comfortable and the room has both a... More

Hello Pam and thank you for your kind comments on the Penthouse, which as you say has the most amazing views of Bakewell. Most of the other accommodation in Bakewell is in the town centre and does not benefit from the elevated views from Bagshaw Hall. Thank you for your recommenation. More

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. My four year old found himself so at home there he kept on saying he wanted to play there while we were out walking. The only things that were not ideal for us was that a fair amount of light came in at night from the front (due to the rolling... More

Have just come back from staying there. We were made to feel very welcoming. We stayed in the Haddon suit and it was beautifully decorated and an amazing shower could have stayed in that all day. The only small issue and its not really an issue but breakfast, we had paid for it but we had no idea what we... More

Now this not a 4/5* luxury hotel, but it is a seriously good hotel that ticks most of the boxes. We had 2 nights in the Penthouse suite (Room #1) on the first floor. It is a large room with a big bed, separate seating area, a dining area and a useful kitchenette. Bathroom had everything one could expect with... More

Very pleasant, warm apartment with excellent cooking facilities, a nice lounge downstairs and luxury bathroom and bedroom upstairs. The wifi was a bit intermittent, but at least it forced us off our phones and laptops! Very comfy bed. I slept very well.

Very nice rooms. We stayed in the garden suite which was very quirky, quite low ceilings with a handy back door leading to the garden. Unfortunately no internet available down in that room. Our friends stayed in the manners suite which was gorgeous. Everything you need is in the room, microwave, docking station, tea and coffee to name a few.... More

We stayed at Bagshaw Hall for a weekend in early October, as a birthday treat. The accommodation in the hall was very impressive and full of character, and the location was perfect for the town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful and although we didn't use all the facilities -having planned to eat out each night- the apartment was spacious... More

Just returned following a 2 night stay. We did have a large room with a big bathroom but everything was decidedly grubby. The grout in the shower room was quite disgusting - somebody needs to get some 'Mould and Mildew' spray on it and give it a good scrub! The towels were tatty, grey with small holes in them, but... I am not sure what the intentions are of this guest, other than to be extremely unfair & hurtful to our staff who do an excellent job and who are regularly praised by guests on the standard of their cleaning and administration. They stayed in The Chateau Suite on the Ground Floor of Bagshaw Hall, which as the name suggests,... More

My wife and I booked Bagshaw Hall as part of a fly fishing weekend on The Wye, unfortunately The Peacock at Rowsley was full. On arrival we were greeted and shown to our room in a fairly succinct fashion, nothing wrong with that at all, it was just a little, flat. We asked the owner where the best place to... More

Thank you for your mostly positive review, along with your life history! Just for the record, we would not call Piedaniel’s “rather stuffy” and if you looked in our custom information pack you will see a list of places we have enjoyed eating, which definitely includes Piedaniel’s. We apologise for your experience with the jacuzzi bath in the Vernon Suite.... More
