Well equipped, really comfortable room, great breakfast, superb host and exceptionally clean. Cul Erg is a great place to stay, Port Stewart is beautiful and JJ goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and recommend great things to do.
My boyfriend and I recently enjoyed a 3 night stay at the Cul-Erg House & Kitchen which is just a couple of minutes walk from Portstewart Promenade. JJ and Marie were very friendly hosts and gave us some great recommendations for dining and things to do during our stay. The B&B is immaculate, both inside and out, our room felt fresh and luxurious and we had the most comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed trying the variety of options on offer. A great addition to the B&B is their new cafe, ‘The Kitchen’. It’s such a treat to be able to return after a day out exploring and have a coffee and a scone before going upstairs to relax in our room. Overall, we can’t recommend the Cul-Erg highly enough and are looking forward to staying here again soon.
Me and my friend went for a quick overnight break and came back feeling like we'd had a holiday. Cul-Erg is handy to the town, by the sea, it's easy to get parked, it's pristine outside and inside. The thing that sets it apart is the welcome and hospitality. Nothing is any trouble, everything is laid back. Just what we needed. The beds were so comfy and we wanted for nothing, there were lovely branded products in the bathroom too. We went for walks by the sea and into the town to absorb the holiday atmosphere. The breakfast was yum, all cooked to order. You can get tea, coffee and buns too during the day which is great. I will come back with my children, I like that there's a locky key and not a key card because there's less chance of my youngest making a run for it when I'm in the shower, as he's tried to do before!! Thanks Cul-Erg! x…
Just home from a weekend stay in Cul-Erg guest house in Portstewart .... highly recommend it . Food and accommodation 5 star . Just can’t speak highly enuf of the food and friendliness of the staff . And I personally feel the jewel in the crown is the ‘kitchen’ coffee shop . This is A walk in coffee experience during the day in the Cul Erg guesthouse . It’s open to the public and ran by James . Scones .... cakes .... etc and all home baked on site . A treat indeed . James I wish u well in ur new venture and I certainly will be back . Had a lovely time 😎Alison coulter
This was our first trip away since lockdown eased. We couldn't have picked better place to stay. From JJs warm welcome, to the spotless beautiful room with quality bedding, robes and slippers, fluffy towels and extras that are normally associated with high end hotels. Breakfast was excellent staff very helpful and friendly. Adherence to Covid regulations observed throughout the building, with sanitisers even provided in the bedroom.. Location is superb, with coffee bars, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Overall a fantastic B and B well worth a visit.
