Roe Park Resort is widely celebrated for its inviting amenities, including the spa and restaurant, although some guests have noted that popular spots like the pool may become overcrowded. Its tranquil location earns high marks for scenic beauty and proximity to local attractions, creating a serene retreat for visitors. The hotel atmosphere is applauded for its relaxing vibe, with a beautiful lobby and entertainment options that cater to families.
Guests consistently commend the cleanliness of the rooms, despite occasional mentions of the need for updates and temperature control improvements. While the hotel's value draws mixed reviews, its service is generally regarded as friendly and accommodating, with a few reports of inconsistency.

Detailed Reviews
First time at this hotel. We booked a deal of 2 nights b&b in a suite for £210 which I thought was a great price.
Our room was clean and spacious with a large bed and small lounge area with a sofa bed and tv.
All windows overlooked the golf course.
We dined in the restaurant on the 1st evening. Food, service and price were all good.
Breakfast both mornings was very tasty. Although we had to book a time slot we still had to que for some time.
Dinner the 2nd night we ordered food in the bar area after being out all day and again food was tasty and bill was very reasonable.
The roe country park is walking distance of the hotel car park and great for a long walk.
All staff were friendly. They wore visors and lots of sanitising stations around all areas of the hotel which was great to see.
All in all we had a pleasant stay and would definitely return.

Absolutely love this place. We had booked a cheaper option for two nights in Portrush and had a woeful experience (that’s for another less complimentary review). Cancelled night two and booked into the tried and tested Roe Park, best decision we ever made. Staff are superb and very helpful. We had to wait slightly over the check in time, but we understood because the hotel was busy. The receptionist sorted us out with free coffees and biscuits and gave us £20 credit to use that night, which with eat out to help out paid for most of our meal. Our room was stunning, clean and very comfortable with great views. The food was lovely too, and we had a fantastic walk in Roe Valley which is on the doorstep. Covid wise the hotel is great as well. Hand sanitiser everywhere, rooms are sealed after cleaning for piece of mind, there is lots of space to distance and staff in the restaurant are all wearing PPE. My favourite hotel in North and South, saved our family mini break, just a pleasure.

Stayed here on Friday 21/2/20. We were able to avail of the pool area on the Friday night despite arriving at 7.30. Pool closes at 8.30. There was a half term party for younger children and the boy was able to enjoy the end of that after getting out of the pool. So plenty of activities on offer.
Breakfast was good and we were surprised how many were at breakfast at 8 on a Saturday. Plenty of food even though a school rugby team had been ahead of us – hopefully they got their match played despite the conditions. The breakfast was good at the newly renovated Greens Restaurant – it served from a compact area but all was there – breads, cheese, yoghurts, fruit, cereals including porridge, fry, juice.
Two of us went for the parkrun which is not far away – head for the Roe Valley Leisure Centre around 9.25am on a Saturday and follow the runners! Sadly the conditions did not hold the whole way round the course.
Used pool again on checkout day and enjoyed treatments – I had a very good therapist whose name I did not catch but seems to have got some knots out of my back.
We are looking to go back.
One thing the managers need to sort – the tv. They need a retune or possible new aerial. There is a card on the table in the bedroom stating Irish channels are around 850 – 890 on the tv. They were not (in low 800s instead, room 203). Not all channels were available. (RTE2/Virgin/TG4 ok, they are on one frequency, RTE1 missing, it’s on another frequency). However, the channels that did appear have a dot at the end of the channel name – this means that a retune is needed and possible change of aerial. The channels will disappear on March 3rd if action is not taken. I suspect the signal is either from Holywell Hill (near Grianan of Aileach) or Moville. Unfortunately the menu to see which transmitter and see if a simple retune would fix the problem or find RTE1 was not available. Management – you need to look into this as the transmitters have been broadcasting duplicate versions of the channels since September in preparation (the channel names without full stops are on the new frequencies)– without the retune / fixing of the main aerial the channels will disappear.

We have just returned from a 2 night weekend break at Roe Park and I have already booked to return at the end of the month....there is a fantastic offer on at present which made the stay even sweeter. From the moment I booked and spoke to one of the receptionists on the phone until check out the service was first class. Rooms are 'sealed' once cleaned, though you do need to hang the sign out requesting your room to be serviced due to covid-19. We forgot to do this but ataff were very quick to send up fresh towels and milk. As we were celebrating my birthday
a bottle of pink fizz and 2 champagne flutes was delivered to our room which was a lovely, welcome touch. Our breakfasts were lovely and the evening menu was great, with lovely food and service and reasonably priced. There are a good variety of cocktails and lots of space to sit in the lobby or bar, where there was no problem social distancing. The live music on both nights was great and we especially liked the girl on the Saturday evening. The park next door was lovely for a morning walk with beautiful scenery and the pool area was also a lovely place to relax. Unfortunately the Spa is not open at present due to covid-19 but this didn't ruin our stay at all. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating, but I have to give special mention to one of the receptionists...a dark haired lady, whose name I didn't get...she was just so lovely, with a great laugh and great sense of humour. I believe this was the same lady I spoke to on the phone before I arrived and she is just lovely. Keep up the good work. This is now my favourite hotel in Northern Ireland and we are looking forward to returning in a few weeks.

We were looking forward to a nice relaxing break before getting back to normality after New Year. The hotel itself is good, with friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, just starting to get a bit tired. When we went to the spa to relax this turned out to be impossible as it was full of kids and more like a public swimming pool than a 4* spa. The sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are tiny, feeling full once three people are in them. The Coach House restaurant was really nice, food being excellent. Breakfast was a bit more chaotic, as being family based it wasn’t overly relaxing, again the seating area needs revamped and with the huge cobweb hanging over us in the back corner it was a case of in and out as quickly as possible. If you are looking to take the family out for a break then this is great, if looking for somewhere to chill then maybe not.

Good Morning Colin, I am glad you enjoyed the hotel and your evening meal, the main restaurant where breakfast is served is being refurbished at the moment. I am disappointed that you did not get to relax in the leisure facilities as this was holiday period there was a higher quantity of children in the pool. We look forward to welcoming you in the future.

Stayed here for two nights. Great hotel for families. Our room however was very shabby. Holes in the wall from an old tv not filled in. Bedside tables were very dusty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. Bathroom was spotless but very old so looked grubby regardless. Very poor service to the room during stay. As a family of four in a room we needed the bin emptied, new shower gels etc and towels for a three day stay. It’s annoying you have to ask for this at reception. Housekeeping came after we asked to empty bin and replace towels and left our dirty glasses and mugs and didn’t replace. The room next door had a tray sit outside the door with tea and coffee for the duration of our stay. Very frustrating and not a reflection for the price we paid. Overall nice stay however the standard of the room and housekeeping would need to be upgraded to keep in line with what we paid. Staff were lovely and food was nice. Pool brilliant for children. Would go back if housekeeping rules were changed.

Good Afternoon Jenna Thank you for your review. I am pleased you enjoyed your recent visit to the resort with your family. At the resort we have a range of Covid safety procedures in place which are for the safety of our guests and staff. One procedure being that rooms are not serviced by housekeeping staff unless specifically requested, minimising the contact with your room. We appreciate the feedback which you have given which has been shared with the housekeeping department and hope to welcome you again in the future. Kind Regards Roe Park Resort

Enjoyable short break at an attractive price. We stayed two nights B&B with one evening meal in the Coach House restaurant for £235 sterling. This included full use of the leisure pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and fitness room. Our 3 course meal was delicious with breakfast very acceptable. Excellent walk into the beautiful Roe Valley Country Park from the Car Park behing the hotel was a particular highlight.

We've just returned after three nights at Roe Park and everything was great from the rooms which were immaculate to the food which was amazing to the staff who couldn't do enough for us. Staff all wore visors and there were hand sanitizers everywhere tables were well spaced out and we felt safe and comfortable our whole stay. We used the pool and again felt comfortable doing so although my wife missed the spa not being open . This was our first stay here as with the couple we were with and we are all looking forward to returning here. We highly recommend this hotel you won't be disappointed

5 of us enjoyed 2 nights, rooms were very clean with ample space and we had beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, we had a first class meal in the coach house brasserie with attentive and friendly staff. We each had a treatment in the spa, a very welcome treat ! A beautiful environment. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend the roe park. It’s in an ideal location and we went to the beautiful Benone strand for a walk

Hi. There are lifts in the main building and in the Coach House restaurant, which is part of the Golf Club, across the courtyard. It’s a special lift with access to the Disabled toilet.
The reception desk staff are very friendly and helpful and I am sure extra pillows would be no problem.
Hope this of help.
