Stayed in room 301. Cheap and cheerful room. Good size, clean and good shower. Heater sounded like a jumbo jet, so turned that off! 3am fire alarm - so out in the rain for 20 minutes (lucky there was a canopy to stand under).

Hotel's Favourite
The Premier Inn Birkenhead is a small but cosy hotel that punches well above its weight. We stayed here one night after dropping our son off at uni. We will be travelling back and forth to Liverpool over the next thee years and this will be our hotel of choice. Your usual PI quality is there and there is a bonus of free parking. The train station is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and it takes you straight into the city centre, Albert Dock and Liverpool One. Thyme restaurant was closed in the evening due to Covid but a takeaway service was available. We went for pizzas and they were very good. We stayed on the 4th floor. Considering it was a Saturday night and the hotel was full we didn’t hear a peep at all which is a testimony to the sound proofing in the rooms and the clientele. The best thing about this hotel though has to be the staff. I can’t praise them highly enough. They were welcoming, friendly , professional and accommodating. Without a doubt the best I’ve seen at a PI. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were very informative of the local area- train times, stops etc. We look forward to returning to this hotel on a regular basis over the coming years. Well done the staff there!

I’ve stayed here in lockdown a previous 2 times so understand the restrictions and was by and large satisfied. Room only. However in a matter of weeks you now have to pay for parking with a touch screen machine, no hand sanitizers near by. The bedroom room temperature was not adjustable and I was v cold on the first cold night of the winter. Eventually reached reception on phone who turned the heating on! This was an issue last time I stayed but it was no problem as not a cold night. Think I’ll give it a miss in future.

This is the first time I have had to give a poor review for a Premier Inn. Staff were great but there was a buzzing noise coming from the ceiling of our room which kept me awake most of the night(not the air con)

Hello Howard, Thanks for your review. We're really sorry to hear about your experience due to noise during the night. This certainly isn't up to our usual standards and we can imagine this would have been very frustrating. Please be assured we will pick this up with the team and we'll do our best to ensure this doesn't happen again in the future. Again, we do apologise for your experience and do hope we can welcome you back in the future for a much better stay. Kind Regards, Tayler Guest Relations Advisor
