Very good service, comfortable room and good food. My mother was able to have a ground floor room which was a great help as she finds stairs difficult. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bath and shower. We appreciated the light snacks in the room and the tea:coffee making facilities were very welcome at the end...

We stayed in a twin bed room- what a lovely room! The decor was fabulous. Very clean and cosy. The staff couldn't do enough for us, and were extremely helpful with everything, as we didn't know the area at all. There was everything you could want at breakfast, and the serving staff were lovely. Can't rate this hotel highly enough,...

They say that great location/facilities can't make up for poor service. But when you combine the both you have a 10 out of 10 establishment like the Riverhill. The staff pitch their friendliness with just the right level of familiarity to make you feel entirely welcome. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was great value for money....

Arrived at 1.55. Check in at 2pm. Discovered we were 2 floors up but had asked for a ground floor room. Was told nothing had been asked for via booking.com so accepted it but informed receptionist of husband's recent new hip. After a bit of juggling she got us on the ground floor so 10/10 for that one! Arrived for...

I stayed 2 nights, and was very welcomed. I had booked just a single room as I was on my own. I was actually surprised by how lovely the single room was, tea coffee and snacks in the room, toiletries and most importantly it was spotless! Crisp clean hotel linen on the bed and I have to say it was...

After coming to the Riverview Hotel very last minute. I was so happy to have stayed here. It was a very sad time, I had to arrange a funeral and the staff at the Riverhill did everything that they could to make the time I spent there as comfortable as possible. We also held the funeral reception here . The...

Food and service excellent as usual. Staff take time and trouble to note regulars drinks and these arrive at table before even ordering. Varied menu which changes regularly so never get tired of visiting. The sweet trolley is out of this world. We do not hesitate to recommend both here and their other hotel The Grove House to friends and...

We stayed one night at the Riverhill, and after the activity of our previous day's decided to just stay in the hotel for our whole time in Birkenhead. The room was so much larger than I expected, with the bathroom up a few stairs from the bedroom. It felt so luxurious! Sunken tub, four poster bed, and very quiet. It...
