We came here with a party of 15 for our grandads 90th Birthday on a Monday night. The grounds are lovely and very well kept. The bar area is nice and cosy but having no bar staff on the bar, meant that getting a drink was very difficult. We placed a pre-order over the phone that my mother spend some...

Recently visited this hotel for a get together with a group of forty friends. The staff were excellent, all the food was served piping hot, the vegetables were fresh and a good variety. Two people on my table had a problem with their main course but it was dealt with immediately, without any unpleasantness, it was an enjoyable meal and...

We went to celebrate my Dads 75th Birthday and there was 12 in the party, the meal was lovely plenty of meat and vegetables, we were on a curved table so we could all see each other, it did make things a little difficult for the waiters and waitresses but they coped wonderfully, unfortunately they did run out of toffee...

The price is good, the welcome positive, with good car parking. The rooms are spacious with good wifi, the beds comfortable, a great bath room with shower. There are nice touches such as crisps and chocolate in a basket and an ironing board to ensure you are well presented for your meeting. The breakfast is also fine with various options...

Large group of friends for a celebration dinner - seating very crushed, serving of correct courses to diners caused the waiters problems, quality of food average -particularly as I had asked for 'pink duck' which when it arrived was well done. As this was a treat for us from host and hostess invitees didn't wish to spoil their celebration by...

A very.well planned and organised 70th dinner by the celebrant. Disappointed that the restaurant didn't live up to similar standards. Firstly, they got the.number of guests wrong- bad math? Originally estimated at 26 when advised of 2 no shows there response was to set places for 22...Go figure! Consequently, when all 24!!! guests we're accommodated on a table which was...

I took my parents here for breakfast and even though we arrived after the breakfast finishing time the staff were happy to fire up the grill again and put on a fantastic spread. Thoroughly recommended!

A very nice, welcoming, clean and comfortable hotel . The restaurant is very pleasant and the food beautifully presented with a nice range to choose from. We travelled up to Birkenhead to watch a football game at Tranmere Rovers. The hotel was very welcoming, and we enjoyed a fine meal in the restaurant. The rooms were comfortable and warm!, and the staff were hospitable and professional.
