First of all the Staff were fantastic really helpful, Executive Room was lovely. But wife was really disappointed the Jacuzzi bath would not work, we followed the instructions, but no joy. We reported as we went in for dinner, and they were really quick in getting back to us. Said something about the water needing to be above the red line, we did have the water above the red line, but my wife tried to drain the water before we went down for Dinner but had to hold the drain open, it was drained so far but we had to meet up for dinner, thats why the water level was low. Dinner was a big disappointment for me, the prawn starter i got was great, but the Duck was a joke, a cup of Rice on the plate and half a tiny duck, i had very little meat on my Duck nearly looked as if the breast was missing, one of our friends ordered the breaded mushrooms, and he got three on his plate. So other than the Jacuzzi not working and the Duck it was a good night, but had one disappointed Wife.

We usually eat out once per week and since our usual spot was closed for a week we tried the bistro at The Lodge Hotel. My roast beef looked and tasted like it had been pre prepared and reheated on request. The menu stated Yorkshire pudding, which didn’t materialise. My wife’s pizza was chewy and I’m sure it had been microwaved. I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of the food but ok with the service and politeness of the waiting staff. I have now put this bistro down as one to avoid.

Hi Mr Patterson, Thank you for taking the time to review, but we prefer to deal with any complaints in person and preferably on the night. We have tried calling your mobile to discuss this review as we are somewhat confused? Our popular Roast Beef dinners are always served with Yorkshire puddings unless our guests are dairy free, gluten free or have requested otherwise. Our system shows that your table requested dairy free options that night which is perhaps why the chef did not serve a Yorkshire pudding, but rather than us assume, we would prefer to discuss in person. This allows us the opportunity to ensure our service and food is maintained to a very high standard. Perhaps you would be kind enough to respond so we can investigate your complaint further. Our contact details are 028 7034 4848 or management@thelodgehotel.com Thank you again for your time and look forward to hearing from you soon.

The moment you step into this hotel the decor is very modern yet the welcome very warm. Friendly reception staff, bar staff, night porters and maintenance staff. The room was clean, with comfortable beds. Rooms were warm and fully stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. We were attending a xmas party night. The xmas trees and general festive decor was absolutely beautiful. Food was delicious and staff attentive. Drinks reasonaby priced. Breakfast the next morning was fresh fruit, cereals etc... Then a warm buffet breakfast of soda bread, potato bread, bacon, sausages, a variety of eggs, beans and mushrooms. The hotel had sanitisers placed throughout and maintenance staff seemed to be quietly around cleaning door handles, tables etc which made us feel at ease during Covid times. A fantastic gem of a hotel I will definitely be returning. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Visited the Lodge today for Sunday Lunch. It was amazing. We had the Carvery in Elliotts Bistro. The food was really beautiful. Some of the party were gluten and dairy free and the desserts were so yummy. I highly recommend this Hotel. The waiter who served us was really good and went the extra mile. Other staff were very helpful as well and they made sure that everything was to our satisfaction.
