We've been a few times to The Lodge, rooms clean and tidy, staff friendly and helpful, they left an anniversary card in our room, a lovely gesture Breakfast was amazing, however dinner in bar/restaurant a little disappointing but on our next night we dined at the infamous WATER MARGIN Chinese by the river and it was unbelievably delicious I'll be...

Thank you for your 5* review and I am glad you enjoyed your wedding anniversary weekend with us. I am however disappointed to read that you were not entirely happy with dinner in Elliot's Bistro, and if you decide to come back to stay, would you please mention this to our management to ensure this does not happen again. I...

I had my wedding here on 22nd april 2017. It was a fantastic day from start to finish thanks to all the great staff especially scott the manager. Lodge should be very proud of him as he goes above and beyond for the people staying and I couldn't have had a better day due to him. And thank you to...

My wife and stayed at the lodge for our first wedding anniversary. Having enjoyed the restaurant in the past I opted this would be a good place to stay with its proximity to the North coast. We weren't disappointed and everything was first class - great food, cleanliness and friendly staff made for an enjoyable time. We will hopefully return...

The carvery was £18 per person. Which is highly over priced in my opinion. The starters had far to much mayo and the main (meat, veg and potato) was mediocre so was pudding. Really not worth the money and with so many amazing local restaurants I would advise keeping your money and spending it else where. Very disappointing.

Thank you for posting a review, all feedback is used to improve the service we offer. It has been rather disheartening to read your comments, having received so many excellent reviews about our great value four course Sunday Carvery. We try to cater for most palates with a choice of over 30 hot & cold starters, main course roasts and...

We had lunch here and tried their carvery. £7.95 for Senior Citizens which was excellent. Roast meat was really good and we were offered plenty. Roast potatoes could have been cooked a little longer but to be honest they were eatable. Atmosphere was fine and it was really busy. Service was excellent. Staff helpful and friendly. You must try the...
