Outstanding hotel. Stayed for 2 nights and had a fabulous time. Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms, brilliant entertainment and delicious food. The thermal spa is ambient and relaxing and my spa treatments left me floating on air! Will definitely be back. ❤

The room was lovely big and clean. The beds were super comfy with lovely fresh bedding. We had a choice of bath or shower which was nice. The pool area is quite small but was adequate for me and my husband, it had a steam room and a jacuzzi attached to the pool. The only reason I rated this lower is because the food was not to my taste. Service was great but the quality of the food wasn't very high . Breakfast was a bit better but as it was self service a few of the things you knew were sitting for a while and were a bit hard. Overall though I would definitely come back but I would just dine out elsewhere.

Positives; lovely decor in the public areas, good food at a reasonable price in the restaurant, friendly staff. Bedroom was clean and beds were comfortable. Negatives; incredibly noisy in the rooms from the corridor so I had a very poor sleep. Very small pool area and when open to residents the number allowed in the pool means you can’t swim, or move around much. I think if you book a treatment there are much smaller numbers allowed. Only one of the windows in the room (small openings at the top) would open so the room was very hot. If you book a spa break to relax this isn’t the one for you, and if you are considering staying find out if there is a function on first. Took a few days to recover.

First of all I would like to say that the spa treatments were good, especially Laura who gave an excellent massage. The rooms were also clean and tidy. However, the rest of the trip was not positive. We booked on a Friday night where a wedding was also being hosted. The hotel was noisy for most of the evening which was fine, but we were placed on the rooms just off the foyer and were the first rooms which everyone from the wedding passed on the way back to their room. The other guests were extremely noisy and I believe we should have been placed in rooms farther away from the wedding party, as we didn't get any sleep during our stay, and were woken several times during the night. After a night of poor sleep, we were also woken at 9am by the hotel staff taking the bins out beside our rooms. Next, we booked into the pool in the evening and were in a pool with four children and 6 adults, the children wearing rubber rings and the adults playing ball games. This was not the experience i expected in a spa hotel pool and the staff didn't say anything. The pool was also not big enough for this amount of people, so there was no room to swim. Finally, we had a lovely dinner in the hotel but it was quite rushed, we got our mains approx 5 mins after we finished our starters and the waiters started clearing our plates before we had actually finished eating. Really disappointed and for £140 a room for one night I expected a lot better.

Just called in on our way to Castlerock and where pleasantly surprised. The decor was a bit dated and the grounds could do with a gardener but the staff where helpful and the food was good and not pretentious. All being well I think we'll be back.

What a great weekend in this lovely, clean, comfortable hotel. From start to finish we felt so comfortable and well looked after by all the staff from receptionist to bar staff and waiters/waitresses in the restaurant were fabulous! We ate both nights in the hotels restaurant which was lovely, nice atmosphere, great portions and really good food, clean plates all round! After dinner we really enjoyed the live music in the reception area. Singers were great both nights and played such a good variety of music to suit all ages! We even had a boogie 💃the craic was mighty.. The rooms and beds were so comfortable and spotless with maid service each day looking after us. I know this hotel is a 3 * but honestly felt like 4* + especially with the recent renovations and more to come! Breakfasts were fab with a variety of food to suit tastes. We didn’t get to visit the spa/pool this time but fully intend to return and avail of these services very soon as already planning a return visit with my partner Glen. 👌🏻 Rachael and Glen Sloan

I heard great reviews about the bushtowns new spa & as a therapist myself I wanted to try for myself. When I arrived I was welcomed with a glass of processco & a warm welcome. It was so peaceful & relaxing , and extremely clean!! My therapist was Joanne & I honestly had the best treatment from start to finish! I had a back, shoulder, neck massage followed by a facial! I was so relaxed, I nodded off & My skin was glowing. Iv been to many a “spa” but this was the best treatment Iv had to date. After my treatment I got to chill out again & really make the most of my visit. I highly recommend Joanne & I will be booking back in again with my husband for a couples treatment. 5star from me!

Folk you get what you pay for but Bushtown gives you more. This wee 3 star hotel was fantastic From the beautiful decor in the bar and lounge area with very comfortable seats to the great food both breakfast & dinner. To the most amazing staff who honestly can’t do enough for you. The rooms in the hotel are fine. They are not lavish but have a very comfortable bed and a large tv on the wall a wee table and dressing unit and blackout curtains but remember it’s 3 star your paying for so for that star of hotel the rooms are very clean and have all you need for a weekend away. Lots of drinks to choose from in the bar including coffees. The food in the restaurant was very reasonably priced and was very tasty and good portions too. Honestly this wee hotel went above my expectations and more and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again and in fact we are already taking about doing so. Thanks again to all the staff your friendliness and attention to detail made my mothers birthday weekend that little bit more special.

Cute hotel with a bit of a mish mash of decor. The lounge and reception were very modern, but restaurant was very different. Rooms are a little dated (especially the bathrooms) but comfortable and do the job. Food in the restaurant was lovely and service was good. Staff were very pleasant. Pool and spa area was lovely but jacuzzi was cold and part of the pool. Things to note - check in is 4, hotel residents can only use the pool/spa area after 5 in the evening, and between 8 and half 9 in the morning. There's only 2 towels in the rooms so if your like me and need a few for hair etc bring your own. There are no robes to use for going back and fourth to the spa, but you can get changed down at the spa. The showers in the spa are very hot but I found them more powerful than the shower in the rooms. The spa showers and change areas are communal and you could not use the lockers when we were there. When we stayed there it was an older crowd, so maybe this is who this hotel is suited to. We enjoyed our stay and got our room for a good price (£90) for a Tuesday night. I might have been a bit disappointed if we had paid more.
